Basically the hotel is very nice and clean and spacious - we asked to be upgraded to a suite as it was my friends birthday and the room was very nice. The hotel bar was okay although a bit quiet and the same for the restaurant - although dinner was very nice. Breakfast was the best part of the meals - very plentiful buffet only for Euros 9.
The only problem I would say is the fact that the Hotel is advertised as being in Las Rozas when in fact it is in Las Matas - so dont get caught out and get off at Las Rozas train station like we did and then thought we were lost - finally we found out it was in Las Matas and got off the train there - thinking it was right in front of us - oh no! You have to walk over the bridge that connects the train side to the other side of the motorway and then walk up for about 5-8 minutes - finally we found it!! The reciptionist called Jesus was very nice! One word of warning -if you plan to go to the casino make sure you bring ID with you (i.e. passport or driving licence) as they will not let you in otherwise - as happened to me (another receptionist on that evening at the hotel did not tell us that we needed to do this) so we spent the night in the bar outside the casino - not bad either. So all in all its just the location of the hotel that can be a potential problem if you do not have a car - but once you know your way and use the trains to get into central Madrid it works quite well - in the evening they stop running around 11:30pm - the Underground stops around 2pm-ish - there are night buses but you probably end up getting a taxi. One other thing i can recommend is to eat the Madrid stew (should be mentioned in any good guide) - that was mana from heaven and the Rioja - well need I say more.
