You can book Las Rozas for as little as 10 Euros a night during the sales perods, i paid 20 but a few weeks later i saw the same day for 10 Euros. The hotel is well outside Madrid, but near a Renfe Circanias station. I would recommend arriving during daylight if you come on foot, like i did. It is only 8 minutes walk from Las Matas station, and the ticket from the airport to Las Matas is 2.30 Euros. So take the exit from the station on the AutoVia - Motorway side and there is a metal footbridge right in front of the exit. When you walk over the bridge you can see the Travelodge if you look to your left. It is fairly straightforward to get to the hotel after crossing the foot bridge, just walk parallel to the motorway along the side of the slip roads, You can enter the rear of the Travelodge carpark, the gate shoud be open. A tiny bit tricky to get there on foot but not much.
Checkin was OK, the non spanish guy could have been a little more friendlier, or so it seemed after my walk in the dark from the station along side of sliproads.
The room was standard Travelodge, great bed, large size room, but there is NO coffee , tea etc. There is a restaurant, i arrived at 10:30 pm, so i could onlz take what was on offer, a pizza, which was served well, and was tasty. There is a cheap menu del dia if you arrive earlier. You get shampoo, liquid soap in sachets. No problems whatsoever !
Whether it is worth the long journey from centre of Madrid ? Well that depends on if you like to save money and like a little bit more luxury and willing to travel 20 minutes out of centre of Madrid. My conclusion was it was worth it , to pay 10 or 20 Euros for a large comfortable room in MAdrid is great price.
I did not take the breakfast, it was expensive for me. I did not hear any noise from the AutoVia, maybe my room was on the other side, it was peaceful.
I love Travelodges, me !
