I've just returned from this hotel and that was the highlight (leaving).
Air conditioning hasn't worked for months was told by staff, one night entertainment (magican), nothing for kids to do, mini club for kids that was open on 1 day at 11.30am was asked to leave at 11.45 as they was closing( much to my 3 year olds disappointment) and never opened again, was all inclusive but couldn't have a drink or snack until 12.30, snacks finished at 7 and bar shut at midnight but bar staff disappeared at 11.30, every glass and plate etc was asthough they'd never been washed and the food was like sewage all slops with no solids (i love my food and will eat anything but this). going back to the entertainment they have a cd that plays the same songs every 30 mins,
on the day we were leaving 5.30 in the morning i went to the coffee machine which was turned off and locked up i was told by the receptionist to wait until the airport,
Oh and forgot to say if you want a proper spanish meal there is just 1 place a restaurant called diagonal 10 minutes walk from hotel but is very very expensive but credit were credit is due is really really nice.
please don't spend any money on this hole and have your holiday ruined.

Well, there is some truth in what is written before, but...
We stayed there with two younger and two older kids and they were delighted.
It's just a stone's throw from the beach and regarding the beaches - there is a wide variety to choose from ( wide, narrow, sandy, rocky, lively, peaceful - something for everyone!). A great adventage is the train that takes you either to Barcelona or to any other town along Costa Brava( surprisingly, no discounts for children...), so when you feel bored with the town you're staing in, just pop on and in a moment you're somewhere else (they run very often and are air-conditioned).
The staff is friendly, the pool is great and so is the nice paddling pool with a fountain:kids will adored it! The food is usually tasty, lots of fruit, vegetables, side dishes, drinks...Every evening something organised in the hotel:music, dancing, Flamenco show, Brazillian dance show, Musical show, live rock concerts.The best thing is definitely the MiniClub and the girls called 'activity organisers' for kids. You can leave your kids twice a day for 2 hours and have free time. Moreover,They organise MiniDisco for them every night and do lots of things to make them happy! ;)
The disadvantages? The bloody wristbands - a bad idea. The walls made of 'paper'. No late parties for adults, but that's understood as the neighbours want to sleep... Oh, don't use the net there! They rip you off! Use any of the net cafes around ( 1Euro=1 hour). No badminton rackets for rent.
All in all, a very nice place to stay for active people, active families...
Don't go there if you're looking for peace and serenity: it's not a quiet cottage in the countryside...;)

we were really looking faward to going on holiday , i went with my mum and dad, my mums disabled so we choose the area for being flat for the wheelchair!
i expected it to be quiet as wed chose pineda de mar for that reason. to be honest theres not alot to do in the area and the beach is ok, except for the ''attractive'' train tracks right in front of it ! first of all we arrived ,paid extra for a family room as im 24 and wanted a bit of extra space. they gave us our key ,we went up and found our room and it was a tiny twin bed room wiv a fold up bed stuffed in the corner supposivly for me ! no extra wardrobe or even a bed side table ! we went back down to reception ,got told that theyd been told by travel company that we booked a standard but we had proof of payin extra, the receptionist was rude and very unhelpful! she told us that they didnt have any family rooms available ! it took us 7 hours of ringing travel comp and tryin to get hold the rep ,to finally get the room we paid for, only to find out it was ready all along, but was being kept for a spanish family insted at our expense!!! they saw us english and thought wed just accept the crappy room overlooking some building work ! i was not happy how my parents were treated !!

food was rubbish, had maybe one day where it had some taste ! if u like cold chips then this place is for you lol ! and there was one night of entertainment the whole week ! we ended up just going to bed earlier as there was nothing to do lol

we were lucky that we were only there a week, we went wed til wed, and on the tuesday before our flight back the hotel decided to shut down until april the next year! there were familys who were there for two weeks and had to arrange another hotel to stay at for the second week! i will be honest some of the staff didnt get told they were losing there jobs ,as it was meant to stay open til end of october !

i would never go back here! im not a snobby person ,and i hate complaining about anything, typically brittish lol, but i just was appalled how we were treated there! specially how they had reserved tables on the edge for what we thought was for people who had walking disabilities ! but we sat at them as mum cant walk very well ,and got told to move to the other side of the room , so that some young spanish lads could sit there insted !!! please dont waste your money on this place, ive been to sooo many nicer places for the same price !!

Our first impressions of this hotel were not the best! The food was disgusting, we knew it wouldn't be the best but were dissappointed with how bad it was. However apart from that the hotel was excellent, lovely pool, friendly satff and extremely clean. Overall we had an enjoyable holiday and ate out a few nights as restaurnts were not too expensive just so we didn't stave! Not the best resort with regards to things to do but the beach was fantastic and train to barcelona just 2 mins away. Perfect for a cheap week in the sun!
