We arrived a little later than expected after being taken out of our way by our sat-nav, very tired and in need of a drink! The receptionist was very pleasant, even though she didn't speak very much English - she tried her best!
Our room was large, pleasant and very clean. It had a really fresh smell, and everything was spotless. I noticed that the room was very well decorated and co-ordinated, with everything matching and nothing broken. That makes a refreshing change!
The surrounding countryside was wonderful, and a foal was born in the field opposite during our stay - perfect!!!!
The breakfast was lovely, and the dinner was unbelievable value! Even the Cava was only 9 Euros!
The staff were very friendly, especially with our two year old nephew who was on holiday with his parents in the same hotel.
All in all, I would recommend this hotel to anyone. The only downside was the last evening there was a group of French rugby players staying at the hotel who were extremely noisy - but this was more the fault of the adults who were supposed to be looking after them!!!

We spent a most enjoyable 2 day break at the Hotel Albatross, and we found everything was just perfect, and how the Hotel can provide such superb cuisine at only 12 Euros for a luxurious 3 course dinner is just amazing!
Somebody with excellant taste must be responsible for the decor, and excellant attention to detail in all aspects of the running of the Hotel.
We travel down to Portugal twice a year, via Plymouth/Santander Ferry, and, in future, there will only be one Hotel that we will be trying to book, and that is the Albatross @Suances!
