“Perfect”

I am writing this review because I just love this hotel and I can't fault it. I have been there 11 times and booked again for June 2012. I was unfortunate to have an accident while there in August 2011, when I slipped on a pool of water just inside the reception area, leading from the pool. The staff were wonderful and helpful (partly because it was their fault as the water should have been cleaned up and there were no warning signs) but I was treated like a VIP with an arrangement of fresh fruit delivered to my room. People tell me that I should have sued this hotel but I didn't do this because in all the years I have been there, I could not fault them and they can't have eyes everywhere.

I get upset when people say they don't like the fact that this Hotel is Spanish. If you don't like Spanish why go there? I have never found the staff or locals rude. It does help if you can speak a little Spanish if only from a phrase book. It is always appreciated, but "When in Rome" if you want English stay in England.

The Almeria experience is Spanish, so give it a try. If you want a British holiday stay in Britain!!

Room Tip: Go for a high floor with a sea view, which gives yoiu the best of both views.

Just come back from this hotel, rooms good, food great choice, pool area fab, hotel not overcrowded but would hate to go in peak season. Went all inclusive, worth the money, hotel let it's self down drastically on the last day, vacated room at 12 as stated, weren't flying till 6pm and hotel staff hounded guests for their all inclusive band stating that the all inclusive has now finished even though the Thomas cook rep had stated in the welcome meeting that everyone was all inclusive until they left. End result 50 plus guests angry and annoyed especially by how they were spoken to by hotel staff-beware.

“Modern and clean”

Having been renovated earlier in the year was modern looking (but by IKEA) and was therefore very bright and clean. Two double beds in the room, very comfortable.
Bath was very small and shower head area already shows signs of corosion.
Food was warm, not piping hot
Although a 4* hotel have stayed in better 3* ones.

“Fabulous!!!”

This hotel was wonderful. It is where the Spanish bring their families and as a result makes for a really authentic holiday. Right on the beach separated only by a gorgeous massively long promenade. The pool and grass area are large and lush and we were so happy sunbathing the day away stopping only for a snack or a drink in one of the many bar areas. The restaurant was lovely and offered a great selection including a grill where other meat and fish are cooked freshly. We were all inclusive and even the wine was delicious, which sometimes can be an issue! Being off the foreign tourist trap too meant if you wanted to venture out you could still grab a beer/wine and tapas for 1.80e! The rooms were lovely, huge and comfy beds and thoroughly cleaned every day. ALL the staff were lovely. The entertainment was really cool and did just that, entertained us. Some typical Spanish stuff but also we had a small production of Joseph and each day the little children can rehearse for group parts in the evening shows. EVERTHING was super clean inside and outside the hotel. We were lucky enough to have visited during a local fiesta and had a weekend of music and Spanish friendlyness, have your phrasebook with you and you'll be fine!
I cannot recommend this place enough for couples, families or friends. Super value, super clean, super relaxing, super Spanish, super fun.
The sister hotel opposite, part of the complex is still really nice but is the cheaper one called the Zoraida Park. Even our travel agent didn't know the difference so be aware. As a guest at either you can use the bars and facilities of each hotel but can only eat all inc at your own restaurant. I cannot comment on their food or rooms.

Room Tip: I imagine they are all as lovely as ours was.
