I should imagine the time of year when you stay at this hotel and resort, will determine the quality of your stay. Very much a Spanish residents resort and hotel, along with a few German and English holiday makers. Food was really good with plenty of choice, the hot food on a night time was not always neccessarily hot and could of done with a few more hot vegetables for choice. Staff were extremely friendly, despite the language barrier and were always helpful. Pool area in my opinion, was too small for the number of guests that could be staying at the hotel at any one time and sunbeds were too close together. Which in Peak season would be like sardines in a tin. For us though it was adequate, due to the time of year. Never experienced any excess noise on a night time, But we were situated on the 3rd floor at the front of the Hotel. The shop assistant in the foyer could do with a course in hospitality, as she was lacking in a personallity. English newspapers are available from the local kiosk shop approx 500 metres from the hotel, but in our experience were not available until after 5pm on an evening. Transfer time from hotel back to Faro, was a bum numbing 3 hours, due to the round trip of collections both in Spain and Portugal, which was not mentioned in the brochure. So be warned!!!!!
