We spent a great two weeks relaxing and being well looked after . Great food and a fantastic spa . A lovely area of Spain which is not ruined by tacky shops. The only thing that we didn't like was the hour and a half drive to the airport.

One week break the last week of September.
The first few days of our stay (a weekend) the hotel was very busy with a large number of spanish guests. Not a problem, as there was always plenty of food and choice for all and at all times of the meal time service. I have found at other european hotels that the evening meal time might finish at 9.00/9.30 and they are clearing everything away or not topping food trays up half an hour from the end. Here the evening service went on until 10.00 and was constantly topped up, which was very good. The food quality and variety was also very good.
There could have been more staff at the bar in the evening, but they all were very friendly even when rushed off their feet.
The pool bar closed completely on the 27th September which I felt was quite bad, as the hotel was far from empty and I thought should have remained open for the last few weeks of the season.
The whole hotel was kept very clean and in a very good state of repair.
The location is good, just a couple of minutes walk to the huge beach. It is not a place full of english/irish bars or 'full english breakfasts' which to me is a big plus point!
A very nice place to have a quiet, relaxing break.

Our 2 week stay in this hotel was most enjoyable and thoroughly recommended. The hotel is absolutely spotless and Iberostar must surely invest heavily in staff training as we have no complaints in the hotel staff at all - they were all eager to please and polite and friendly. The hotel is very well maintained and also well situated near to the beach. The food is excellent and with plenty of choices. We take 2 holidays a year and were very impressed with the standard of the hotel. The area itself is very unspoilt and has not been overrun with the 'tourist' bars and novelty shops. It is very Spanish and not the place to go if you want the late bars and clubs. We loved it! We are going again!

Arrived early September to find the hotel virtually full with Spanish families and their young children. As a result the pool area was extremely noisy and the dining room after 9.30pm was absolute BEDLAM. Whilst the food is good it certainly is'nt sophisticated and the rule about no shorts in the dining room is a joke !
The rooms are OK and our room (553) was probably the best in the hotel with a super sea view however the internal construction of the hotel looks rather like a prison and kept expecting Fletcher or Mr McKay to appear in one of the corridors!
This might sound like the rantings of an old geezer but it is'nt it is just intended to let older visitors know what to expect and to advise that they would be better off staying in the hotel across the road - Puerto Antilla.
