We had an amazing stay at La Tinaia this September. We booked a ground floor, one bedroom apartment, which was large and comfortable with a fully-equipped kitchen. Situated out in the countryside and surrounded by vineyards and olive trees, La Tinaia is also conveniently located for daytrips to Florence and around Tuscany. Best of all, Tina and Franco are welcoming hosts who are more than willing to offer sight seeing suggestions and directions.

Highly recommended! We certainly hope it won't be our last visit.

We stayed in the two bedroom apt this past May and had a wonderful time. The apartment looks just like it does in the pictures! The setting was perfect - right in the middle of vineyards and olive groves!

Tina and Marco were extremely helpful and flexible. The place was clean and extremely convenient as well (10-15 minutes by car/train from Florence). Tina provided us with maps and Marco helped plan our stay in the Tuscany region. We would love to come back and stay at La Tinaia again and would definitely recommend this place to others.

What a place! This was our second stay at La Tinaia and it won't be our last. Everything about it is warm. The setting is perfect. Tina and Franco are cordial, welcoming and competent hosts. Comfortable, nicely-decorated apartments combine with amenities such as the pool and bocce court to make for a perfect and restful stay. We even took the bus into the Mercato Centrale in Firenze to shop and came back with marvelous ingredients to cook in our apartment's kitchen and eat on the stone terrace overlooking the hillsides. From the West side of the pool it's enough to be able to look out over La Tinaia's vines and olive trees but you can also see all the way to the peaks of Montecatini to the North. The view is so captivating and an early evening spent by the pool is so soothing.

La Tinaia, run by Tina and Franco, is a renovated farm house in Tuscany, about a 15 minute drive to Florence. A great home base for exploring the countryside. The farmhouse has several apartments, which are comfortable and nicely decorated. The grounds have vineyards, olive trees, and a large garden and lots of flowers. There is now a nice pool overlooking the countryside. A very relaxing place to go after being in Florence, or driving around all day. There are restaurants within walking distance, and the town of Scandicci is no more than a 10 minute drive and has a grocery store, lots of restaurants, and easy access to buses. Tina speaks great English and both were very helpful in their suggestions. If you want a true Italian cultural experience, this farm stay is the place to go.
