such anice villa. had dinner and breakfast there. both excellent. our rom was enormous by European standards, the bathroom floor was so pretty. able to drive to the surrounding attractions without any trouble. the staff was very nice. it was quiet and clean. i would definitely go back. thanks for a lovely stay

Although the accommodation was pre-paid, when my clients arrived, they were put into another hotel because this property was over booked-not good!! They had to go back the San Lucchese for breakfasts and dinner. When they checked in for the last 2 nights of their stay, they were put into a "back" room without a decent view-not good!! The Villa itself is gorgeous, and the room they were upgraded to was what they wanted. Basic rooms, but the views and the food made up for it. They thoroughly enjoyed their last 2 nights here, and would recommend it without hesitation.

We have just returned from our third stay at Villa San Lucchese, it has been wonderful yet again. Everyone is so welcoming and friendly. This time we took our daughter and her fiance, they were getting married in nearby San Gimignano and we were staying for a few days with Marco and his family before moving to a villa to meet up with family. It was a most relaxing 4 days, the bedrooms we were given were lovely and the little sitting room nearby was delightful with high ceilings, painted borders and crystal chandelier leading out onto a very pretty terrace used for evening dining. The swimming pool was very quite and peaceful and any food we had there was delicious, we had a very tasty tuscan lunch when we first arrived with the most fantastic mozzerella cheese we have ever tasted ( i don't like mozzerella cheese, not the stuff we have had in England anyway!) parma ham and tomatoes and then vin santo and biscuits it was gorgeous. I have said before in past reviews about the risotto served in a wheel of parmasan cheese and it was still on the menu so that was the first thing we had. We usually stay for 2 weeks so the time went very quickly and we were sad to leave, Marco and his family and staff did all they could to help us and make our stay perfect. Our daughter and son in law have also fallen in love with the place and we will all be back again very soon. Thank you.

The reviews are correct that Marco and his family make the place. The rooms are very basic and do need some updating, so if you are expecting an over the top room- this is not your place although I do admit a bathroom makeup mirror would be a nice addition.The food is very good with a limited menu each evening which gives you fast service and above average food. The staff is very friendly and accomodating. They have a wonderful wine list and Marco is helpful with suggestions. The dining area is lovely and they have a wonderful outside patio where even the internet works which is free, a nice touch. The hotel location is very convienent to any of your Tuscany travels and that makes it a good choice. So stay here knowing your room is not the Ritz and you will enjoy it immensely.
