A superb location and convienent to explore from. Florence is a breeze not by car but by
catching the Train a short drive downhill and Free Parking. The Hotel Staff were very welcoming and the Breakfast was superb.
Gardens around the property could have been better , swimming pool was very clean and nice to look forward to after a day out

“LOVE Villa Pitiana”

I stayed at Villa Pitiana for a week in Sept. of 2010 as part of a tour of Tuscany and I LOVED every minute. When we were driving up to the Villa I almost couldn't believe my eyes. It literally looked like something out of a movie..I didn't think places like this actually existed!! The property is extremely well kept and even has an inground pool and lots of lounge chairs to lay out in the sun and relax. The reception desk will supply you with towels so you don't even have to worry about packing them..Leave room in your luggage for all those great Tuscan treats you'll find while shopping around!! My room was huge and CLEAN! I'm a neat freak and this place definitely lived up to my standards. They have an elevator too (that actually works!) so if anyone has problems with the stairs you can get around without any worries. This also comes in handy when you're trying to get around with tons of luggage (i had to buy an extra suitcase 'cause I over shopped!!....be prepared for that!). They also have a great bar and lounge area so you can grab a drink, sit and relax and enjoy La Dolce Vita. I can't say enough great things about the staff...They are always ready to lend a helping hand if you have any questions or problems. Honestly, I cannot say enough good things about Villa Pitiana in general...It was like a dream. Getting up in the morning and looking out at those breath taking views was worth every minute spent there. I can't wait to go back!!

“Magical Venue, Amazing Staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 September 2010

A wedding party of 80 set out from florence to the Villa on Friday for the Wedding of Ian & Majella McNulty. On arrival we were awestruck by the beauty of the villa and the surrounding area. The first thing you notice is the beautiful rolling Tuscan hills and the amplified sounds of the countryside. Immediately you feel at peace.

We were greeted by the beautiful and elegant Elena who manages the Villa. I cannot speak highly enough of this woman. The staff were exemplary over the 3 days. Special mention must be made to Lara and the Bar staff who could not have been more accommodating to us.
A barbeque was organised in the gardens of the villa on Friday night - This was absolutely magical and would have to be seen to be believed. The standard of food was superb along with the beautiful selection of wines which carried the name of the villa.
Both the food and the drink flowed for the evening and I assure you nobody went hungry - This is a credit to a staff who are neither imposing or dismissive. You are made feel almost as though it is your own garden barbeque.
The wedding day itself we will keep for our own memories, but if you are considering this as a venue you will be more than happy. The reception was magical and the food - find out for yourself!

“Nice place, bad service”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 July 2010

Villa Pitiana is a beautiful villa, surrounded by wine fields and olive trees. The rooms are all unique; ours was furnished with cream coloured furniture and a small chandelier while another was more modest in style. The TV:s are way overdue for an upgrade – small, boxy and tired-looking. Our rooms had no air conditioning, but this wasn't really an issue since the temperature dropped at night anyway. The service at the reception was good, with one lady being extremely efficient and nice to us! She helped us with train connections to Florence, wi-fi and printing emails – no problems at all! However, the service in the restaurant and at breakfast was really bad. Everyone did everything and we had to wait forever for our second course. The breakfast was OK at best, but stay away from the old-tasting coffee and order an espresso or cappuccino instead! Also, you have to boil your own eggs – a first for me. The pool was nice, but too deep to be comfortable in and surrounded by a hedge that blocked the fabulous view. If you think of Villa Pitiana as a 2- or 3-star hotel, it's fine, but it is certainly not a 4-star hotel.
