We just got back from our honeymoon where we stayed a week at the quiet Hotel Sant Agata in the village of Sant Agata about 10km from Sorrento. We arrived at 3.30am after a hellish 11hr flight delay to find the porter had stayed up especially to meet us. When we got to our room 2 plates of food and some drink had been put out for us. The room itself was bright and clean and had a nice view of the village from the balcony. The staff were all very friendly and helpful (especially the lady) and couldn't do enough for you. My wife is a vegetarian and they always asked what she wanted to eat and adapted there menu accordingly and nothing seemed to much trouble. The food was quite nice if a little heavy on the olive oil and if you like veal. We did dine at the very pleasant Stuzzichino in the village one night which we can recommend. There is a lovely pool in the very pleasant garden. Our only gripes were that the air conditioning seemed to be broken while we were there and the village dogs do seem to bark ALL night which might not have mattered if the air con was working so we could shut the doors.
