Despite reading previous reviews and dreading my trip here I was pleasantly suprised that this hotel wasn't as awful as I'd expected.
It was booked as part of a trip (Travelscope) and was clean,basic and adequate.
Massa Lubrense is further away from Sorrento than I'd liked to have been and don't make the mistake of getting a taxi as I did (costing E45 which was pricey)
Overall a decent accomodation.

We did not enjoy our stay at this hotel. Please do not make the error
of mistaking this hotel for the one with the same name in Positano. Located in S.Agata, this hotel, although a 3*, was more worthy of a 1*. For the first two days of our stay, the Manager refused to turn on the hot water, dispite the protestations from our tour rep. In the
end the only way we could get him to supply hot water was by our travel party (totally 30 people) having to vote with our feet by staging a mass walk out at dinner time. Miraculously, hot water was restored the next day! Unventilated bathrooms, poor inedible food, and a manager from hell, all lent to this hotel contributing to the worst stay of my life. If you want cheap and tacky, this hotel will undoutably fit the bill. If you are looking for something very basic (along the lines of a youth hostel ) this hotel is ideal... Not for the diserning traveller.

We stayed in the Hotel Reginella in Saint Agata, Italy Hotel for 3 nights and were glad to get out of there. The hotel had been booked by Travelscope and was part of a package deal. Everyone that stayed there has logged a complaint with the company. The hotel itself was clean, that was probably the only best bit about it. The hotel is situated in a very quiet side street and so there is not much to look at and admire except the adjoining buildings. The rooms and bedding felt damp due to lack of sunlight, some of the beds did not have any sheets on and when this was requested all we received was verbal abuse. The food was awful and certainly not worth the money they were charging for the evening meal. Some of the guests who had pre-paid for the evening meal were having to go out to eat straight after their meal. The breakfast was a joke as well. You had a choice of one stale cereal, some bread rolls, slices of cheese, and ham, watered down orange juice and tea and coffee. The staff were rude and unhelpful and as agreed by all the guests that were staying there one of the worst hotels we have all stayed in.

Avoid this hotel at all cost otherwise you will have a very disappointing holiday

My husband and I stayed at this Hotel with a Cosmos tour group. I want to make it clear that this Reginella Hotel was in St Agata not in Positano. There seems to be some confusion due to a similar name in the same general area. The one we stayed at was dirty, poor water pressure (showering was a challenge), bathrooms were ventilated internally causing unpleasant smells and no privacy( we could hear our neighbours speaking as if we were in the room). Male staff were unpleasant and rude but the female staff were pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was barely adequate for some, non-existant for others. While I did not expect 4* I did expect clean and adequate. Give this place a pass unless the rates are dirt cheap and you cannot afford any better.
