Greece beats most of Europe for a friendly welcome; and Pythgorio is as friendly as Greek resorts come. Only know the Mykali, on the outskirts of Pythagorio (towards Vathi), but doubt you would find a friendlier hotel. It offers all one expects from a Greek hotel, and at an exceptionally price ... I had a real bargain. I went B & B, and had precisely the room that I expect in Greece; and I do not suppose mine was the best on the large complex with at least 5 major blocks. Breakfast was also much as I would expect, but with slightly more choice of cereal (very continental) than some; and with a daily 'extra' (often a local speciality) in addition to the standard fare of ham, cheese and hard-boiled eggs to go with some really nice bread. Only had the evening meal on Sunday, when choice was limited, but the food quite reasonable; however, Pythagorio is exceptionally good for eating out nightly, so advise B & B. Only 4* rating because of location; walking into Pythgorio along the road is not pleasant, so the 5 times a day shuttle minibus is a Godsend. And the wind can whistle quite loudly a couple of times a day (mind you, mine was probably the windiest room!).
