“Beautiful setting with owner who can't do enough for you!”

We booked this as a last minute deal, it was a bargain! Partly cos its in a small village on the quiet side of the island, it's next to the airport but we barely heard any planes all week (most airlines fly in and out on a Tuesday).

We had a room overlooking the pool (which we had pretty much to ourselves), unspoiled views of the beach and the sunrise. Gallini's tavern was just 5 mins walk along the beach - gorgeous fresh fish eatery frequented by locals.

The lady owner was so helpful, she even drove us into Fira when we missed the bus!

It was a very romantic holiday - so much so that I proposed to me beloved on the beach outside of the villas, to which she said yes!!! A very memorable holiday all in all!

Would thoroughly recommend bluebay villas!

“Nice”

Relatively peacful, friendly staff. No noise from airport. Some noisy guests, but that can happen anywhere. Hopefully smoking will be banned. Maybe buy a new dish washer? But I'd go back, it's a nice place.

“wonderful staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 August 2010

this is an small hotel placed next to the airport but it is not noisy at all. only 50 meters from the beach but the main important is her owner.. Nota.. very helpful and always trying to do her best to their guests.
The hotel has an wonderful swimming pool also.
Not so far there is Kamari beach.. where you can go shopping .. many restaurants with very competitive prices.

“Perfect Stay for Santorini Trip”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 May 2010

My husband and I spent 4 nights at Blue Bay Villas and felt that the hotel was just perfect for us. The hotel is quite affordable and Nota and her mom (owners) were very friendly and helpful. Our room was basic but had a great AC system. The hotel was completely quiet at night, granting us some much needed peace and quiet! I would definitely recommend this hotel if you're looking to get away from overcrowded Kamari and Fira!

“ideal getaway for a laid back holiday”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 September 2009

We loved the hotel & resort area. It was relaxing & quiet which is just what we wanted. Rooms were cleaned daily with fresh sheets & towels. The hotel staff were very attentive. The local buses take you to Fira town where you can pick up connecting buses to other areas of interest, however these buses run on GLT (Greek local time) which means there may be delays due to their relaxed ways. We booked the all day boat trip to the volcano, hot springs, Thalassia & Oia at sunset which was extremely good value& also included the services of a tour gide who was very knowledgable. We booked with a local travel company which was at least 10 euros cheaper than Thomas Cook were advertising it for. Be warned tho' there are lots of steps to the top of Oia town when you get off the boat, it's not for anyone with walking difficulties & the brochures don't warn you of this either. We found a lovely bakery which is open 24hrs & sell everything from bread, pizza's, pasties & not to mention all manner of greek cakes dripping in honey yum yum! There are lots of local taverns along from the hotel but the one we would recommend is God's Garden restaurant just off the main road who do the most amazing roast Lamb which is to die for!
