Pros:
-we were picked up from the port even at 1am
-nice pool area, lots of lounge chairs
-affordable tavernas nearby
-5 minute walk to a bus stop to get to the beaches and oia, about 20 minute walk to thira
-had a minifridge, kitchen sink and some plates and utensils, we were able to prepare our own breakfasts

Cons:
-sheets were stained, and threadbare
-the first room smelt like a moldy basement, ceilings only 6' (watch out, tall people)
-shower didnt drain properly, old shower curtains covered in mold, no towel to use as bathmat
-we were asked to switch rooms, the second room was dusty, dog hair everywhere, creepy dolls and stuffed animals on the wall, we were given a twin bed and an uncomfortable cot
-second room had a shared bathroom, which was better than the individual bathroom, but still had a serious mold/mildew problem in the shower
-no obvious reception area, sometimes difficult to find the owners

overall, we were lucky to have the pool and went swimming to avoid showering as much as possible, wouldn't recommend!

Located within walking distance to Fira (still 20 or 30 mins though) the pension has a really nice pool and our double room was clean and airy with a balcony. We had breakfast one morning which really wasn't worth the extra cost. The main issues we had were with the owner. We were picked up from the port but when we arrived at the property were left waiting for some time before we were taken to our room. This was a very rushed process with nothing said about maps, internet etc and our passports taken (presuming they'd just be photocopied and returned, but not until check out). On our check out day we were asked to leave the room earlier than the described 12 noon check out as they had to clean (knock on door at 11.25 saying we had to leave the room at 11.30). We also booked the drop off at the port for the afternoon and had to wait for over an hour after the meeting time to leave. The way the place is set up it's also very hard to find them as there's no real reception. Overall the actual place is nice but we left with mixed feelings.

If you would like to be welcomed with energetic warmth, smiles, frappe and more ice,
if you prefer to relax and have a good nap,
if you die for a good deal of price,
if you like to shower face to face with your friend,
if you would like to stay day or two just near the pool,
if you do not like to be surrounded with tourists,
if you like the smell of village,
if you adore fusion style of decor,
then this is just the right place to stay and enjoy.
p.s. The colorful Teddy Bear is waiting for you on the pillow in your room ;)

We chose this accomodation because they advertised themselves as a family run business where they treat their guests as members of the family. Unfortunately we did not feel comfortable to talk to them or ask any questions because they made it obvious that it was an efficient business they were running and we were just paying the bills. Conversation was delivered with a smile but extremely brief and brisk and they disappeared as quick as they could.

Our double room with ensuite was small and clean but there was no hot water for us to shower that evening. I told the female owner the next morning and she walked off in a huff and dissapeared into her house. i stood outside for more than five minutes waiting for her to come out and explain that she was going to fix it or transfer us to another room but she didn't return. We had another cold shower before going out that afternoon to catch the sunset in Oia. The next morning it was still cold and very annoying. We checked out soon after and asked for a discount because we had had three days of cold showers (not to mention how rude they were about it) and they started yelling at us.

The husband said why had we not mentioned it and when we explained that we told his wife, she actually stood there and denied it. When I asked them to check the water in our room they refused, instead they turned their own kitchen tap on and off and said the water was hot, that there was no problem. They were extremely aggressive and hostile and kept yelling at us that there was not problem, why did we not tell them before, so we just paid the full amount.

Even though the premises was alright, we definitely wouldn't go back. The customer service was appalling and not worth it since it spoilt the energy of the whole place.
