I have to say, I really liked this place. Yes, it is a good 10 minutes stroll down to the road and a further 5 minutes into central Stalis but realistically that isn't any great inconvenience. And the 'stairway to heaven' was a great source of amusement and in fact a real social prompt - neighbours would stop and chat as they headed up. And we were at the top! The views are wonderful, particularly at sunset, the accommodation of a standard Mediterranean/Aegan country style and perfectly nice. We did have a few issues with ants, but nothing major, but I have come to expect that Mediterranean countries. The staff were friendly and chatty, the food good enough to fill a hole and I can recommend the cocktails of the evening barman.

The owners of these apartments, Maria and Costas. Are a lovely couple who speak fai English and will give advice and help if required during your stay. The pool and bar area are neat and cleanwith all new table and chairs this year. The staff are all friendly and helpfull as well. The apts have a panoramic view of the bay over Stalis Malia and Sissi. The apts themselves are spacious and well equipped. The only bad thing is the hill and steps but you need some exercise after the great Greek food and wine.

We just got back from a week at the Bella Vista Apartments in Stalis and I cannot recommend the place highly enough. If you are looking for a relaxing stay just outside the lively centre of Stalis, this is the place. We are regular visitors to Greece and although this isn't the best resort I have been to, this is the best accommodation I have experienced.

Location - 10mins walk from Beach Road in the centre of Stalis. We read reports about the hill leading up to apartments but I would describe it as nothing more than a steady incline. What may be more taxing are the steps leading up to the apartments higher up the hill, but the views you get from your room/balcony are well worth the extra effort. Lower rooms are available for those who may not be able to make it up the stairs.

Accommodation - the rooms are modern and very clean. The living area has a new fitted kitchen, two single beds, wardrobe, safe, a table and chairs and a TV (with English channels). The bedroom has a double bed, dresser and bedside tables. The bathroom was newly fitted and even had a shower cubicle so no water all over the floor. There is a table and chairs outside the front door to enjoy the incredible views over Stalis and a balcony to the rear with inland view. Towels and sheets were clean and changed every 2-3 days. The maid was always around and happy to help.

Pool area - there is a small, but nice and clean pool area. The pool has a small shallow end and gets deep pretty quickly. There is also a small kids pool. The pool side bar sells drinks and good food. The prices are very reasonable too.

Overall - fantastic accommodation set just outside the centre of Stalis. Maria and Kostas are very friendly. If I return to Stalis I will definitely stay here again.

Stayed at the Bella Vista for a week, mid August and had an amazing time with the family.
Although the initial thought of climbing up numerous steps is daunting its something which has to be expected as it is mentioned in the brochures and website.
Maria and Kosta are absolutly amazing and very accomodating - nothing seems to be too big of an ask and they are more then willing to help with anything.
Bar staff are just as nice - polite and friendly - we were welcomed to the resort on the first evening and found that we spent most of our late nights sitting at the bar having a laugh with other holiday-goers.
Apartments are standard and offer you the essentials - an added bonus is a tv which you dont have to pay for and that actually works.
Pool areas nice - although there is limited shallow end so this is something to watch out for.
Views are INCREDIBLY BREATH TAKING! :)
An enjoyable holiday for someone who wants to just chill out from a busy life and relax - will definitely be going back again :D
