Stayed in Stefania apartments - great atmosphere, staff make you feel so welcome, was a little anxious when i first booked it as it was a 2 star, but i shouldnt have worried. The bar was a great laugh in the complex and the apartments are so centrally located. We will without a doubt be back to Crete - and wouldnt stay anywhere else!!! There was always beds by the pool, and Sophie's cooking is just brilliant - even though she gave out to me for not eating it all !!!

Have stayed at the Stefania Studios several times, this time with my sister. The rooms have been given a makeover since my last visit 4 or 5 years ago. Yes, they are basic like most Greek studios or apartments. We had two nice comfy beds, a bathroom with shower, a kettle, a two ring cooker (never cook on holidays, otherwise it is not a holiday) and a fridge. We had a lovely large balcony overlooking the pool. Two sets of sheets for the week - how many people change their sheets everyday? Also a large wardrobe with plenty of hangers and a press of shelves. The beach is at the back of the building across the road so no problem running back if you forget to take something with you. A lot of beds on the beach are either €2 each or in some cases free. It is a beautiful sandy beach. The Stefania is a family run concern. Yanni runs the bar which has been totally refurbished and looks fantastic. It has 3 or 4 internet computers at a cost of 50 cent for 10 minutes which is good value. There is €1 off drinks for residents and a lot of drinks to choose from. Sophie cooks at the pool bar helped by Anna. The portions are so big, you have to ask her to give you less. She is a fantastic cook. Ate breakfast their most days, great value for money and the freshly squeezed orange juice is to die for. Had a great time at the Greek night. €20 each for many courses and lots of local wine and some greek dancing. Danielle helps out in the bar, so whether you want to sit outside in the comfy chairs and watch the world go by or inside in the air conditioned bar she is on hand to bring you your drinks. A lovely girl who always makes time for a chat if you want one. This is the kind of a place where you can get to know everyone if you want to or just go in and out of your room and not talk to anyone. I saw no unhappy people there just all smiling faces every morning. It is full of Irish people so if you don't like the Irish it is not the place for you. I have stayed in apartments and hotels all over the world as has my sister who lives in Canada and I can honestly say we both had a fantastic time there. If you are looking for a friendly, fun filled holiday in a great location then you will not be let down.

I stayed in the Stefania Studios last year with my boyfriend, we got the top floor apartment right over the retaraunt downstairs we got the sun all day on the balcony we got a nice view from our apartment it was great. The pool was a great laugh everybody in the resort was great we were all like a big family ha our neighbours were a great laugh. Sophia cooks the most amazing food and really really big portions aswell well worth the money she was great and yani the bar man was some laugh he was very nice. The rooms were ok too.Stalis is a really nice place to stay and i am returning to the stefania studios on the 13 of August i so cant wait......

we went out on friday june bank holiday and a family member got sick at home and we had to leave on monday, 1 adult and two children 13 and 11, we had a package holiday and it was up to the rep to get me a flight home only for yani and staff i would never have got back to dublin, what i did see was brillant and looking forward to going back soon, my girls are getting big and very hard to please at 13 and 11, and they loved the apartments and yani and family and that was only for two days, so i recommend it to anyone.
