Got a taxi from the airport instead of hopping on the rep bus - took 20 minutes! Arrived and Mike bought my boyfriend and i a pint as our room wasnt ready. Lovely studios, pool area and very very friendly atmosphere!! room was basic studio but lovely big balcony with partial sea view! If you havent been to Greece before shower hand held and no shower tray but its so hot the room dries instantly! towels changed once whilst there and bed changed once. would have liked more but really we spent all our time at the beach which is 5 minutes walk past the supermarkets - would recommend the beach - really lovely although narrow. Sea turned warm 1st June like Mike said - very welcome! Definitly try the local taverna's for some fresh fish not just the usual fish and chips/roast dinners that seemed to be everywhere! Got a taxi to Sissi and eat some fresh fish caught that day in one of the taverna's. Worth the trip! Also went to Spinalonga and the Greek night in Anapolis. met some locals - amazing church too.
Would recommend the studio/apartments to all. Really lovely and good for 2*. Dont forget your loo roll/washing up liquid/sponge although you only get a 2 ring cooker. Also no kettle but you do get a little milk pan which works fine! we bought our loo papers and essentials there and left it in there. Definitly try and get out and about - Greece and in particular Crete is beautiful. Get out there and experience the local life! Top Tips:
Try Peach Schnapps with Cranberry juice (lovely)
Try the local red snapper with lemon and olive oil
Try the Stuffed vine leaves - couldnt stop eating them!
Visit Agios Nicholias (however its spelt) very cosmopolitan town.
Spinalonga, Greek Night and Elounda worth a visit
book a taxi to and from airport (we did it with A2B transfers) beat the queues when checking in thank god!!! otherwise you have to wait outside like cattle.

would go back to these apartments - definitly on the best side of Stalis near Malia end and Mike and Maria so welcoming - friendly and lovely atmosphere. if you want a more hotel feel dont book these, no TV and basic but hey thats Greece and its worth it. Thanks to all at Dyktinna
