“Excellent.”

Actually stayed there on several occasions prior to 2007 (couldn't select the year) from 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004.

Highly recommend. Booked it directly through the hotel reception. Owner Theo does a great job, grows most of his own vegitables. I've been in the kitchens with Max the head chef, very clean. Will stay again soon as its been a few years since I've been to Crete. It's quiet and clean with very friendly staff who have worked at the hotel for several years.

The food is excellent which makes it difficult to try other restaurants.

“Good location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 March 2010

The hotel was nice and clean, room had a double and a single bed, which was quite convenient. However, in our room aircon was located just above the bed, so we couldn't leave it overnight. Food was good, shame they didn't do packed lunches though. We opted for an all inclusive holiday, but went on a lot of day trips (Santorini and Samaria Gorge are well worth visiting), so ended up catering for ourselves half of the time.
Location was great, just across the road from a lovely sandy beach, on the main street and within walking distance from Malia. Loved it.

“Warm & Friendly Family Hotel”

Friendly, relaxed atmosphere, well maintained family owned and run hotel. Only 50 m to a beautiful, sandy beach. Nice, big and clean rooms with A/C and balconies. Excellent food in rich buffet.
The friendliest staff in the restaurant and bar we have ever met. The owners are constantly present and are very friendly and hospitable.
Situated in the quieter part of the resort village of Stalis, Sunny Beach Hotel is a very convenient place to explore the traditional nearby cretan villages of Mohos, Krassi,Kera and eastern Crete.
We love the island of Crete and Hotel Sunny Beach is a home away from home. We have made good friends with all the people there and we will definitely be back next year.

“not so good!!”

it dosn' look like 4 star hotel, I was with Necermann, if you go for a organizing trip early in thy morning you wont get any breakfast or even luch box :( rooms are not so clean, to the beach you have to go through a dirty path between hotels on the beach. Hotel is not situatet exactly on the beach, it is on the other side of the road. The bath was terribly small, and old.
