“Road noises, same breakfast, uninspired rooms”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 June 2010

The room I was in was right beside a busy road in front of a supermarket. Trucks coming in to deliver produce woke me up every 3am. Bathrooms have sparse supplies: small shampoo and conditioner, bath gel and that's it.

Breakfast was the same for the 6 days I was there with nary a deviation.

Rooms are sufficient but uninspired, which is completely different from the conference rooms they have.

“acceptable, but other options nearby”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 February 2009

Hotel itself is fine, rooms typical if sparsely finished. Staff pleasant and helpful. One issue is the room was a complete mobile phone "dead zone," had to go outside for a signal. For less money you can stay at the NH Hotel Aschheim (Dornach) in the next suburb over, which has much better amenities.

“you will regret staying here”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 September 2008

You will regret it if you have to stay here.
First the positive, friendly reception, if the room is in the new building across the road it is new, bright and clean.
But there is more that is very bad.
The hotel is far out of the city. 35 minutes on the S2 train to the hbf and the central city. The S2 only travels every 20 minutes at peak, less frequent other times. So more than one hour into Munich or more.
There is a bus to the conference center. It takes 35 minutes, and runs every 20 minutes on week days, but only every 60 minutes on Sundays.
The hotel has no air conditioning, no ventilation and no screens. Very hot, and mosquitoes and bees bit me all night long. Also quiet loud.
The internet costs 6E for 3 hours. Mine did not work. The front desk would not trust me. Made me walk across the street and go up 3 flights of stairs (the elevator does not work) and bring my computer to prove that it was not my fault. No apology, just the false charge that the malfunction was not their fault it was mine. Also very expensive
The service in the restaurant was exceedingly slow: 30 minutes to take the order, 60 minutes to deliver the food. Amazing as there were only 2 other people in the restaurant. The food however was ok.

“OK for a one-nights stay”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 April 2008

Spent a night here prior to an event at the Munich International Trade Fair - the hotel was on the list supplied by the event organisers.
The staff were friendly, and the room was OK - clean although with a few old cigarette burns on the furniture left over from when smoking was allowed (no ashtrays in evidence). There was a small television that showed many rather blurry channels, only one in english.
I had forgotten toothpaste and, as the welcome booklet indicated, asked about toiletries at reception - they had none.(Luckily there is a reasonable supermarket opposite the hotel which I visited the next morning.) The person ahead of me had less luck with an ironing board - they had 20 boards, but all out on loan.
The bus stop is a few yards away outside and 4 euros 40 will get you to the end of the route a few hundred yards from the Trade Fair. Other than that, getting around without a car would be a problem - but for an overnight stay it was fine.
