“A wee gem”

Stayed at Cap de Castel end of June for a couple of nights, being in the hotel industry and reading all the great reviews, I really thought it would be hard for them to live up to their reputation, but I was wrong. Cap de Castel is a lovely small hotel, David the owner and his sister are great hosts.

Our room was lovely, large and airy, offering everything you need for an enjoyabe stay.
We ate in the restaurant both nights, first night was superb, second night, not as good, restaurant service very friendly and good.

David and his team, really could not do enough for their guests. We would certainly stay again and hope to next year.

“...thoroughly enjoyed it and would definitely return”

We stayed for five days in July 2011 and thoroughly enjoyed it. The service was very friendly and personal. Our room had a beautiful view and was very clean and attractive. We really enjoyed the attention to detail, such as the Occitane products. We would definitely return. We ate at the restaurant three times and the food was very good.

“Highly recommended”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 January 2011

My parents, brother and I went to this hotel for a short break last summer. It is not too far from Toulouse and there are plenty of things to do in the surrounding area.
The hotel has an elevated position with a simply wonderful prospect over the countryside. There is a beautiful outside terrace where dinner is served by exceptionally courteous and attentive staff in the evenings. The outside pool is very clean and there is a comfortable outside seating area. The rooms were all individually decorated and kitted out with up-market toiletries. Good water pressure in the bathrooms! The owner David was absolutely charming, and seemed genuinely keen to ensure that his guests had an enjoyable stay. Highly recommended.

“Perfectly Understated Sophistication - A Delight”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 December 2010

We throughly enjoyed four nights/days the first week of Novermber 2010.

Warm and invitinig in both staff, stucture and decor. Soothing earth tones; quality throughout; thoughtful personal decorating touchs everywhere. Staff geniuinely interested in your needs and enjoyment.

Sophisticaled gourmet restaurant for dinners, inspires quiet conversations, and an ideal setting to review the wonders of the day and to plan the next. Wine lists features local wines. Co-owner, David, particualry knowledgable about food and wine (and the whole area); clearly passionate about it all. Breakfast served in the same room, but in the morning and without the fire, a different welocoming atmosphere. Food offerings appealingly punctuated by homemade pasty items.

Well-situated in the small town of Puylurens, central to any number of excellent day-trips (for example: the Black Mountains and Land of MIlk & Honey). Located on the highest point of the town, wonderful views to the Black Mountains. A few mornings, the added drama of experiencing the rising mist from the valley, with the views ever-changing, ever beautiful.
