We arrived at Obzor Beach Resort by car in August and stayed for 7 nights
We traveled in a small group, 6 adults and 4 children and a 6 month old baby. The first impressions as we parked our car was, that it’s a nice resort with modern facilities and newly-build buildings. We managed to get into the underground parking lot and left our cars there for the whole stay. At the reception the receptionist (very good English skills and true receptionist attitude – in a good way) told us that we could only check in at 2pm, but the other members of our group got their rooms around 12.00 noon, so it was ok to hang out there. At 2pm the room was still not ready and finally when we entered the room around 3pm we’ve noticed a very strong fried fish smell in the apartment, that lingered on even on the corridor. It turned out that some Russian folks were staying there and they fried some fish almost every day. I complained at the reception and they gave us right away a new apartment with an even better view and a huge balcony on the 5th floor.
The apartments are great, the one bedroom apartment has a living room with a small, but well equipped kitchen (silverware, microwave, electric stove, big fridge with regular size freezer, tea kettle, coffee maker, kitchen cloth, detergent, sponge, etc.).
The view is fabulous if you like the sea. :)
There were some issues regarding the rate of cleanliness. Don’t get me wrong! It’s not dirty, it’s just a little less than you’d expect.
The hotel lies right on the beach, about 40 meters from the waterfront. There are at least 3 playgrounds for children, 3 bars, 2 restaurants. We haven’t been in the restaurants, but the bars serve a reasonable range of cocktails for 6-7 leva, and beers (4-5 leva). The service is good, the personnel is professional and speaks reasonable English.
You don’t have to bother about the noise or anything similar, there is a stage in front of one of the buildings (I think it’s C), but all the events end at around 10 pm the latest.
It is a child centered resort, they even have fliers and posters on which they say “Kid are VIP guests” or something like that.
Seawater temperature was about 24 -25 0C, felt ok.
There are several recreational sport possibilities like parasailing, banana ride, yoga, water gymnastics, etc.
Obzor is within easy walking distance (in 20 minutes we went there with strollers).
We had B&B and the breakfast was ok, self-service type.

We will definitely go back.

After a long search on booking sites me and my husbad decided on this hotel. We wanted a room with sea view. Because no site offer me the posibility to buy a room with sea view I have contact the hotel and a nice lady confirm me that they could offer me such a room. Also give ma a better price because they had an offer 87 leva per day with breakfast for minimum 3 day stay. I took that offer much cheper that what we found. So that was a plus for them. When I got there the receptionist told me that I am not allowed to ask room with sea view. That they don't ask much money for this kind of room so I am not allowed. Finally she gave me the room. Another day I wanted to pay for wireless internet and she kept me waiting because she was laughing ans speaking to the phone. Keep in mind that is a blonde and overweight lady. I was travelled in many countries but no one ket me waiting.
Second the room was exactly like in the pictures from booking.com. but they don't offer me service like cleaning. They only come and took the trash.
Than the pillow was the worst that I ever used so if you can bring wiith the pillow.
If you use glasses or kitchen if you don't clean them after you used it you will pay an extra charge.
The breakfast was the same more or less every day.
The pool was colder than the sea.
The beach is clean but you have to pay 6 leva for bed sun, 6 leva for umbrella.

Nice resort close to the beach. Good cleaning of Hotel and apartmens. Ok apartment but our balcony was a little small. If you don't want entertainment in your room do not choose block C. (Stops at 1030 pm, so it may not be a problem.) The children were very satisfied with the animation team. The breakfast and dinner buffets vere good but no magic experience. Poor cleaning of pool area and sun beds. Reception personel need more training to be able to help with basics like bus tables, local attractions etc. Good bus connections to Obzor, and from Obzor to Varna. You can get anywhere with to hotel taxi sevice.

I came in Obzor for a long week-end. Nice beach, nice location, good food. Price is okay for the services. Very expensive beer on the beach bar 4.50 bgn at 330 g, vs 1.7 bgn for a 500 g bottle at the supermarket. Shure i will come back. Very good for family with children
