This hotel proved ideal for a family ski holiday (kids aged 9 and 12) as it was family-friendly, had good facilities (heated pool, games room etc) and food was excellent. The reception and waiting staff were all very friendly and helpful. Room was spacious if slightly dated compared with the best (and much more expensive 4 star Austrian ski hotels) but was very comfortable with a nice balcony. Parking facilities also good but only limited underground parking if you are thinking of going in Jan/Feb and expecting lots of snow. Not sure what the ski buses to glacier were like as we hired a car from Munich airport. An easy 20 min drive to the Stubai glacier for wide open pistes. 10 mins drive to the smaller but quite charming ski area of Schlick2000 which had some nice powder and interesting red runs (also a v steep and narrow ski route). 30 mins to Innsbruck for day trips (if driving it's worth paying the Eu2.50 toll to use the Autobahn as the old road is very winding and slow).
I'd say the Brennerspitz offered a very good mix of service, facilities and quality and is well-priced in comparison to other 4 star hotels. No designer decor, but no designer price either! Highly recommended overall.
