We were very disappointed with the Barcelo Tambor. The service was poor, the hotel overcrowded and noisy and the food awful. We loved the bird displays area but the place is shabby and broken down,

cant say anything except loved it...rooms were fine location was great...so much to do...rented a jeep type vehicle and went everywhere with it..was a cheap way to see the countryside..deffinetly recommend flying rather than taking boat over...saves alot of time and is quite the experince on its own...loved everything about this place ...even though the rooms are starting to get dated im not there for the rooms...the food was just fine and we ate a la carte every night...if there not busy they will do everything they can to get u in...would go back here in a heart beat

The good: This is an excellent, out of the way all-inclusive for families, couples, singles, retired folk, etc. It offers as much or as little to do for your pleasure. The grounds are nice and rather safe. Generally the staff is excellent. The food is better than most all inclusives with a wide variety of options. There is a swim up bar wich is fun. Afternoon volleyball in the pool and many activities are available.

The not as good: Some of the room as not as well-kept as they should be. The music by the pool bar can get too loud. The front desk and dinner reservation desks are not well organized and the staff there has little ability to authorize anything for you.

The excursions are rather pricey and you can get public transportation for a lot less to some of them but you need to do a lot of homework as this information is difficult to obtain.

This place is amazing, the service,the food, shows, employees! EVERYTHING! i enjoy every minute i was there.. This place is one of the bests a have ever been!
