We just spent 6 weeks in NZ and stayed at many a great spot, but Colonial Manor was by far one of the best stays we had. The unit was clean, modern, well-equipped, and roomy. But best of all if you were around in the morning you received a lovely fresh baked muffin or scone.

Liz and Dave are your hosts. Liz turned out to be an excellent muffin maker who delivered us chocolate muffins. The motel was quiet, spacious, pretty grounds. The Colonial Manor is well siuated to be a base to visit wineries in the local area, From Cromwell it is about 50 minutes to drive to Queenstown for some shopping or nightlife and sightseeing. Not far away is Wanaka. There is shopping in Wanaka, some great places for the kids to visit and a fantastic museum full of a large collection of cars, some planes, and lots more. Cromwell is a great area to visit so pop in and see Liz and Dave , they will make you feel right at home.

3 woman traveling together usually find it difficult to find suitable accommodation but this was perfect. Just another reason to visit Cromwell

After many happy visits over the years it is great to still find this motel spotlessly clean, spacious, well designed and very comfortable. The owners go out of their way to be friendly and helpful.

The only thing that I could think of to make the stay more enjoyable would be if the owners offered free, full time, broadband internet rather than relying on a company which you have to sign up to with the use of credit card, time limits etc.
