“Lovely holiday at Crubenbeg”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 August 2011

We stayed for a week at the Highland Holiday Cottages. The children loved the cottage which was very cosy, but well equipped and with enough room for them to rush around. The enclosed rear garden was safe and it was great having a duckpond on your doorstep.
The scenery around the cottages is beautiful and the location near the A9 makes it a great base for exploring the surrounding area. Saying that you have mountain walks on your doorstep and we found that the local village of Newtonmore catered for most of our needs.
I would not hesitate to recommend this cottage to another family wanting to holiday in the area.

“Enjoyable week, great location to explore the highlands”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 June 2011

We had five days in the pleasant converted farm buildings at Crubenbeg.

It's an excellent location to explore the Highlands, we ventured to Skye, and Loch Ness on our visit and neither seemed too far to drive. Although that said being located near to the A9 the noise can be noticeable at certain times of the day.

The thing that really sold us on coming to Crubenbeg was the fact that it is dog friendly - and our four-legged friend loved it. If you've got a dog I'd recommend one of the northwest facing cottages (looking onto the pond), because they have a fenced paved area that your pooch can sniff around in without always being on the lead.

In places the decor of the cottage we stayed in was tired, but overall facilities were very good, with lots of unexpected little details well covered. The open fire was especially nice, even in the middle of June the temperature sometimes needs a little kick.

Wifi is provided, but we struggled to get a signal downstairs as the walls are so thick!

Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and would definitely consider returning for our next trip to the Highlands.

“Home from home”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 May 2011

Perfect location to explore the Cairn Gorms and surrounding areas. We stayed in the Cedar which had everything we needed including the best thing for those breezy days - a real wood burner.

“Perfect Holiday!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 May 2011

We have just had a week at Crubenbeg Highland Holiday cottages - what a wonderful place. The cottages are really lovely and cosey, clean, everything there that you need.

The location - wow, you couldn't ask for better.

Sian & Cameron were great - very helpful and friendly.

We could not fault the place at all - will definitely be returning next year
