We stayed for 4 nights in,3 rooms, returning to our old home town, to visit friends and relatives.
The restaurant was being re-furbished when we arrived (we had no prior knowledge), although they did their best to serve customers. Evening meal food quality was fine.
breakfast fare was Ok, but keeping fried food warm, over teal lights in covered gastronorms, does not work, and the quality of this food was not very good. Cold food was OK but not excellent, and no toast on offer
Reception was very good, and we were made to feel very welcome, and they were very helpful and pleasant.
One area which needs immense improvement is the housekeeping.
1. Water and scale in kettle. i rinsed out a few times to clear but need urgent de-scaling
2. Toilet bowl had not been cleaned for a while, and I had to do some of this with toliet brush
3. Cups in the rooms were not properly cleaned,still some stains
4. Taps on basin not clean, I had to clean them
5. certain areas dusty like the bedside lamps
6. Glass on top of bedsides tables dirty
7. Mould stained sheets
In the days we were there sometimes some supplies were not topped up, and none of these missed cleaning areas were paid any attention to
2 single beds pushed together to make a double, making it uncomfortable
mattress was falling apart
Room Tip: If you want a double room, insist on one that is not made up of 2 singles pushed together

Thank you for writing a review for your recent stay at The Bridge Hotel. I would like to personally offer my apologies for the problems you incurred, we try to execute excellent customer service and on this occasion we have failed on a few points. I have discussed the issues of cleanliness with our new Head Housekeeper who has actioned these points already. I have also discussed your comments regarding breakfast with our head chef who has reviewed the breakfast offering. The points raised are important to us and I would like to thank you again for bringing these to my attention.
