Stayed in the Confortel Caleta Park for three nights recently and was apprehensive having read some negative reviews. We were using the hotel as a base while travelling, so were really not there too much, but found the rooms adequate, clean and reasonably comfortable. Balconies with very nice views on the coast side, and little traffic noise. Breakfast was fine with the usual continental selection and some hot food. Small bar and common area, so not particularly inviting to spend much time there. Free internet access in the common area which was handy.
Staff not particularly friendly, but so what ?? Pool area looked fine, nobody swimming or sunbathing at the time of year that we were there. Very nice beach just across the road, and a few restaurants and bars. Platja d'Oro/S'Agaro are a few km away (<€10 by taxi) with plenty of shops, bars and restaurants.
OVerall I would think it deserves a 3 star rating, and we thought it great value at €50 per night for a base on the coast.

Good:
1) Location, some 50m from beach, near plenty of restaurant options.
2) Quiet pool, with sensible opening times (10h to 20h).
3) Nice and quiet room, great balcony with views, big bed, quiet AC.
4) Buffet breakfast was excellent (including means to make yourself Catalan pa-amb-tomaquet). A pitty the artificial orange juice which is a big no-no for a 4 stars.

Bad:
1) they force you to pay on entry for all your scheduled stay (which we find rude).
2) the rooms are made late (sometimes even past 16h!).
3) now and then somebody fires obnoxious music at high volume in the public areas (pool, bar, restaurant) at untimely times (they switch it off when complained to, but it should be obvious to them that "kills" the quiet ambient).
4) Wifi was out of order for all our stay, fortunatelly there are 3 complimentary (and slow) pcs in the hall, so forget it if you do need connectivity.
5) No kettle.
6) No much TV channels choice.

S'Agaro is a truly lovely family beach with great safe sea swimming. This hotel is just a couple of hundred of metres from that beach with easy access to good restaurants along the seafront.
The hotel itself is just like a typical mid range chain hotel. The rooms are clean and functional, but without any style or character. The service was friendly and helpful. For our high season visit, I thought that their rates were very reasonable.
What all four of us hated was the colour scheme in the public areas. It was horrible and totally un - Spanish (or Catalonian). Still, that didn't spoil an excellent stay.
