This hotel was supposed to welcome families with small children, we went with our1 year old son, arrived saturday morning,we did not have 1 descent nights sleep let alone our poor boy, gave us a room facing the sea, nightclub opposite ran on till around 5am (1am weekdays) crowds hang around the front of the hotel as the subway runs from the nightclub directly to the front of the hotel, we stayed a week and saw three fights outside the hotel, very very noisy, booked a cot and were not told we would be charged until we arrived, staff are not interested at all and barely speak, tiny lift, no good if you have a pushchair, at one point my wife and son with the buggy were actually pushed back out a lift by some russian guy so his friend could get in,filthy bathroom with rusty door hinges and cracked tiles with mould on, room was like a prison cell, thank god air con worked, there was a mad rush at lunch time, crazy to see all these people lined up then force there way to the front of the queue, food was poor but did improve on the last 2 days. we complained about the noise and we were offered another room but it was to small to fit a cot into so we had to endure the noise and stay in the original room, pool was small but clean probably the only good comment i can make about this hotel, i would not call this a 3 star hotel that is a joke, this is the 3rd time we have been to malgrat and stayed in 2 other 3 star hotels and they were far far superior and family orientated than this prison block, if your young and want to party every night then this is for you other than that stay away, we couldnt wait to get home,

I have just returned from a horrible 5 night stay at this very very basic place. I have tried hard to find anything good to say....the aircon works and the tiny lifts work ,thats all. This is no 3 star property..it does not even scrape 1 star. The location is abysmal. Bang on the road where the passerbys can stare straight into the pool. No privacy at all. The pool is small, claustrophobic and dont be fooled by separate childrens pool blurb. one child would be lucky to fit in it. The common areas are unappealing and dark. The rooms are basic and the flooring has seen years of disinfectant which has washed off all colour. The bathroom is rank. The food hall is a mad scamble. For dinner there is a queue at 7:00 and the place shuts by 8:30. Pickpokets in the queue. Lost 50 Euros. The guests, all russian, dash to the buffet and it is like a shameless scamble. The food is basic (but well cooked), no labels to tell you what you are eating. The fish is always good. The red meat is like tough boots. Breakfast is a very weak affair. Hardly any tea making facility. No eggs and sausages are the rubbish LIDL bratwurst kind. The staff are stern and disinterested. The russians dont seem to mind the low standards that this place offers. No English guests at all. The whole resort is dominated by russian speaking visitors. Spattering of germans too. Not much to do and quite tacky. The Costa Bravas are very unappealing these days. Worst of all you have to check out at 10:00 am, resulting in lazing guests in the common areas.
Avoid this place. It is not a 3 star facility. It is pitiful what this hotel offers you.
