Just returned from a week at Cala Llonga. The hotel, accommodation and food was excellent. Staff were friendly and helpful but as we had decided not to hire a car on this particular holiday, left our licences at home only to discover that, in spite of a courtesy bus you really do need a car. The hotel has lovely views but once you step outside the hotel you either walk up or down steep hills and the area is made up of lovely villas , one shop and open country. We had a good rest there and would go again, but next time would hire a car.

Stayed here for 3 nights during a 1 week trip to Menorca. Spent an hour looking for it in the dark and rain after turning off at the first Cala Llonga turn off instead of the later one with the hotel's sign. We hadn't been given a map or instructions to find it. Everything went better from then. Apartment was nice with a balcony overlooking Cala Llonga and the harbour into Mahon. Pool was good. Had dinner delivered to the room from the bar as it was late and we were tired after travelling 38hrs non-stop from Sydney. The meal was so delicious (and fairly cheap) that we ordered it again the third night. Breakfast was also very good. We enjoyed our stay here and found it a good base to visit Mahon and other areas on the eastern end of Menorca from. It was also a shortish drive to a beautiful beach, Cala Mesquida, near a large headland. This beach was a great place to beachcomb and find sea glass. Overall, we found the hotel to be great value for about AUD75 a night.
