“Warm welcome”

I went here with my family during the Scottish October school week holidays in 2011. Most of the resort was closed and Casa Luis had certainly wound down for the end of the season, but the welcome certainly had not. The accommodation was spotlessly clean. The small bar was very reasonably priced and we had a great time. The swimming pool was small, a bit cold but adequate for the kids to enjoy themselves and we would go back in a minute. There is a lovely marina nearby with some boats to die for and some really nice restaurants to enjoy.
Luis was a real gem, always smiling and you feel as if you've known him forever. This is genuinely a family show and I would certainly recommend it and would happily return to Casa Luis.

“It's like coming home”

I've been going to Casa Luis for 12 years and always have a fab holiday. Luis and his family can't do enough for you and it's great to see familiar bar staff like Julie and Ross year on year. The apartments are of a high standard with everything you need and spotlessly clean.
The restaurant serves delicious food at very reasonable prices and there is usually a good nite in the disco bar with entertainment provided.
Santa Eulalia is a busy, friendly working town with a gorgeous marina and promenade. There are countless excellant restaurants and bars. My particular favourites are Chaing Mai, C'an a Ribes and the Gallery although you will be spoiled for choice on either Restaurant St or round at the Marina.
So if you're looking for a great holiday get yourself to Casa Luis in Santa Eulalia.

“Closed”

Went here the second week of October, Unfortunatly apart from the small bar at reception everything else was closed. Was not made aware of this by Thomas Cook and Luis was apologetic but as it is a 15 minute walk to town, I booked this on the strength of the good reviews fot the entertainment for my kids.
The apartments are adequate but a bit tired. Still clean enough and did the job.
Santa Eularia is very nice apart from having to dodge the dog s**t on yhe pavements, Quite a few people I heard of had been stung by jellyfish while swimming in the bay.
Would return but only between May and September, When it is open?.

Room Tip: Top floor in main reception block

“Disappointing after expecting so much”

We stayed at the Casa Luis during October half term as we had read really good reviews and had never been to Ibiza before.
Sadly, as it was the final week of the holiday season (we didn't even know that Ibiza is only a summer venue), everything was closed. The travel agent did not make us aware of this and the rep (who actually went home at the end of her season before our holiday had finished) didn't seem to be aware of it when we had our introduction meeting. She made reference to the snack bar and the restaurant, both of which were closed during our stay.
The friendliness of Luis, his family and his staff was excellent but there wa nothing there for us to do.
The hotel is situated quite a way out of town, a good ten minute walk for reasonable walkers, but the fact that everything at the hotel was closed meant that a walk into town was necessary even for the simplest of things we wanted to buy and for all but one restaurant. The restaurant at the corner of the road on which Casa Luis is situated is excellent and probably the best we visited yet quite expensive. The romanian waitress there added to how good the service as well as the food was yet if the hotel restaurant had been open, as we had anticipated, we may have dined there at least a few times.
We stayed self catering but the apartment, which was very good in most other respects, was poorly equipped to cater for ourselves. I made one attempt to cook breakfast but after spending almost 15 minutes trying to fry bacon and sausages on a very poor hob, we again had to travel into town or beyond to dine.
While the food we did eat was very good, as it was the last week of the season, even the restaurants were running out of things.
The hotel nor even the travel agent can be blamed for the weather but as it wasn't as good as we anticipated, the other issues with the hotel didn't help particularly as we had to go elsewhere to eat in a thunderstorm!
I think the trip has clouded our view of the island and I can only assume that during the high season this would be an excellent veue for families. For us, it was not!

“Will be back for sure”

Had the pleasure of staying at Casa Luis for two weeks during October. Very rarely nowadays do you find a true family run operation in which the owner (Luis) takes the time to get to know their guests and takes a genuine interest.

My wife, our two young boys and myself had a fabulous time and were very happy with the apartment. Do NOT be put off by the 2 star rating, I have stayed at various 4 and 5 star hotels in the U.K and been disappointed but not here.

We will certainly be returning to Santa Eulalia in the future and will definately be returning to Casa Luis.
