“Good Hotel but Needs Some improvements”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 October 2011

We were booked at sister hotel with First Choice but moved to this hotel without explanation. However this hotel is bigger and has an adults only pool so probably was better suited to our needs.

The manager took us over in the buggie and was helpful and polite and I wish all the staff had been like him!

The reception staff spoke little english but were not helpful and slightly rude. They did not explain anything meaning we had to return to ask for safe key and cards to get towels. These were stated as complimentary on the all inclusive however they then demanded a 52 euro deposit???!!! This was despite having kept our passports. They also did not explain the all inclusive and a few steps from the hotel restaurant is a bar were we got stung with expensive cocktails as noone told us it is not part of the hotel.

The room was basis but clean and modern and just what you need. We were very lucky to have a massive balcony with lovely views. The air con did not work but it was cool at night when we were there.

The drinks on the all inclusive were disappointing. The beer and wine were great but we were looking forward to cocktails. There is a menu with lot cocktails stated as all inc but when we tried ordered were told they did not do them. They only had very nasty pre mixed bottled cocktails that did not even have to be refrigerated!
Most bar staff were ok but one in man bar was very rude and aggressive.

The adults only pool was lovely and loads of free beds. Sun out over that pool from early to 7pm which was fantastic. We were the only english people there and lookign for a relazing break,

The food was of a good standard and we liked the self service drinks. The breakfast was most disappointing. The lunch and dinner was always a good standard with plenty of choice, Real lack of vegetables though and if there were any they were v overcooked or battered! Fruit choice limited too. Generally good though and fine for a week, There was one waitress however who was very rude and difficult. She decided that she did not want us sitting in the back section despite three other tables of people sitting there and forcibly removed us shouting the section was closed. So unnecessary!

The evening entertainment...very poor but they did try. A simple singer would have been far better than the attempts at shows by the staff.

All in all a good hotel but for it to be great and for us to return the cocktails need massive improvement and some of the staff need lessons in politeness and customer service form the manager.

“Watch your back if you want to avoid the risk of last minute letdown”

We booked with Hotels.com to stay at this hotel, and had a fully confirmed booking. I checked with the hotel direct by telephone and they confirmed that we were booked in. Weeks later and only three days before we were due to set off, Hotels.com called to say that the hotel had cancelled the booking. We were offered no reason or excuse, and I have received no reply to emails I sent direct to the hotel. This disgraceful behaviour - because they had a better offer?? - caused us much hard work, inconvenience and anxiety. Hotels.com were not good at suggesting alternatives but they were helpful in agreeing the replacement we eventually found, the Sol Ibiza at Sta Eularia, and we were in fact glad we had changed as we had a very enjoyable stay which we have commented on separately. Incidentally, this hotel is miles away from Santa Eularia: check the map and you'll see.

“great!!!!”

I have just been there with my girlfriend, and the place was great.
As i knew before going there, its not in the middle of the party circus and its a really quiet and beautiful enviroment. Food is good, nice beach and pools. Anyway we had a car and in 10mins you can reach Santa Eularia which is really lovely at night on the promenade, or in 25mins Ibiza Town. And 5mins from the hotel there is a lovely lovely beach (Cala Boix).
I would defenetily go back.
