We had booked the 'Mar Azul' apartments but were put in the 'Squash' apartments that are part of the complex. The apartment itself was filthy and the following day, we gave the Rep a whole list of repairs and general maintenance that needed doing. The whole complex is built around a private homestead that has a shanty town in their garden! They had dogs and chickens, which made a noise and numerous cats which roamed around. We asked to be moved but was told there was no availablility and yet a couple of days later, we happened to see a re-location form for another family, in the hands of the Rep. Loads of apartments were robbed. I got an infection from the big pool and spent the next three weeks off work. The small beach which was a short walk away seemed very nice, didnt notice the sewer! There are a lot of watersports to be had there, including a diving school. This is in a remote region, away from any main Town but the taxis are reasonable and very clean and there is a very well stocked Spar shop at the end of the road. If you travel to Santa Eulalia, I recommend 'The Gallery', a restaurant on the famous'Street of Restaurants'. Excellent and original food. A note to all Vegetarians though, there is little to none vegetarian food available on Ibiza!
The only entertainment at the complex, consists of an English woman called Dawn, who put on karaoke, quiz night etc, on most nights. It went on til midnight and could be heard all over the complex, so don't go if you like an early night! There are also a couple of pool tables and two pc's.
So, to recap, if you are thinking (!) of going here, take plenty of cleaning materials, vitimin suppliments (for the veggies), antibiotics for the infections and a video camera, whose film should be sent direct to 'Holidays from Hell' on your return. Good Luck!
