“Peaceful & Pleasant”

Firstly, it was such a pleasant surprise to find such a peaceful atmosphere... the first time we've stayed in a child-free hotel and I'd definitely recommend it. Overall, it's a very solid option - nice hotel, great location, pleasant staff. It was the only last minute option we could find in Ibiza, perhaps because it's away from the party zone, so don't come here if you're looking for nightclubs and all-night benders. The nearby town is around a 10-15 minute stroll, but a very pleasant one at that. The walls in the rooms are indeed quite thin, so you do get a lot of noise transferring from nearby rooms but to be honest the lack of screaming kids and lager louts makes up for this. Some excellent sea swimming nearby as well - bring your snorkelling gear.

We found a terrific Thai restaurant on the beachfront called Chiang Mai (Pasaje Molins de Rey 7 - take the alleyway on the right before the very popular ice-cream parlour). I worked in Asia for a spell and also lived in Amsterdam which has amazing Thai food and this place was up there with the best of them (especially the mixed starter, very freshly made).

On a side note, don't bother with a day trip to the Hippy Market - a waste of time. Just the usual beachfront kiosk rubbish multiplied by 100.

“Fantastic stay”

Spent a week here and it was ideal for a relaxing break. Staff all very helpful and prepared to offer local advice. Room was perfect for our requirements, had a fantastic sea view. Was not troubled by any noises from neighbouring rooms as mentioned previously. Great choice of food for breakfast and dinner, vegetarians well catered for. We sat outside most days which was a lovely touch. Only went to the pool once as we prefer to swim at the beach but it seemed fine and plenty of sunloungers always available. This was the first time we had ever stayed at a 'adults only' hotel and we would definitely consider again. Good resort and plenty of opportunities available both by bus and boat to explore the island.

“Great Stay”

We had a week at the hotel in early October. Due to the previous reviews posted we went prepared with ear plugs but didnt need them! Yes we heard the odd noise but definately nothing to complain about. The hotel was lovely, our room was really nice, amazing view of the sun rise every morning, and boy did it rise, we didnt see a cloud in the sky for 6 days! The staff at the hotel were all very good especially the staff in the restaurant and Angel the enternainments guy, he was great. The food (we did HB although we would have rather BB) was very good, so much choice at breakfast and for the eveining meal, I would challenge anyone to say that they couldn't find something they liked, my problem was that I liked too much of it!!! We did eat out 3 out of the 7 nights but this was no reflection on the hotel, its just that we wanted to try some of the restaurants in Santa Eularia. We went on the boat to Ibiza Town, well worth a visit, and a very nice boat trip as well. We wouldn't hesitate to go back to the Sol Ibiza. The outdoor pool was too cold for my liking, not sure if it would be different in the height of summer, so I ended up using the indoor pool instead. Lovely area surrounding the pool, plenty of sun loungers etc, nice snack bar, reasonable prices. Excellent holiday all round.

We spent a week here in October 2011, This was our 2nd visit to the hotel. The hotel is now adults only making it a quiet and peacefull place even by the poolside. The hotel room we had was on the small side but was clean with comfy beds, the walls are a bit on the thin side as you can hear people next door clearly. The food was good their is a good choice for both breakfast and the evening meal, the only negative comment on the food was "could be hotter" The hotel is situated about a 10 mimute walk from the town which has plenty of restaurants to choose from if you are on a B & B basis. their are also plenty of shops in the town. There is a boat service from the town to Ibiza town, and another couple of resorts nearby, Boat 34 euros for two to Ibiza town, take the bus it's 3 euros 60 each way for two.
