“Reasonably priced, high standard, clean accommodation.”

Cannot recommend this hotel enough if you are prepared to stay a little out of town. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful and the hotel itself of a very high standard with each room being more like a small apartment. We travelled in October so found the surrounding area to be very quiet with not much atmosphere at night. If you want more atmosphere you should catch a cab into Santa Eulalia (20 euro round trip). The hotel is situated really near to the beach (2 min walk) where there are a few bars/restaurants. We spent many a happy lunch in Ria's - a very friendly German run place with excellent food. Also the most comfortable hotel sunbeds ever encountered.

“This is an awesome hotel, don't look any further.”

The hotel staff was amazingly accommodating to a person. They gave us a larger room just because it was available to start. They let us check out at 6 PM just because no one was coming to take our room and our plane was leaving late.

That aside, the suites are LARGE and very modern, with granite countertops in the kitchen and bathroom, and dark wood furniture. Dual sinks in the bathroom. Very clean. The kitchen is small but even has a range top so you could cook full meals. Yes, they have a refrigerator also. Free internet (fast) in all rooms. Cute bar and pool area. The rooms are extremely quiet and the A/C works VERY well. You will literally get cold in bed under the blankets on the lowest setting.

The beach is a 2 minute walk around the left side of the hotel. It's a cute little beach and there is a Mexican theme restaurant that looks pretty pathetic but unexpectedly delivers 5 star food right on the beach. The avocado shrimp salad, the grilled squid steaks and the chicken enchiladas are exquisite. One plate will feed 2 people...very generous portions.

The breakfast at the hotel is also very good and is served in a room that opens to a quaint courtyard. Eggs, scrambled and/or boiled, croissants, vegetables, nutella, marmelade, cold cut meats, etc..

I can not say enough good things about this hotel. We rented a car from Europcar down the street and roamed around the island. You can stay in this spacious, quiet and modern hotel away from the clubs BUT Ibiza is 15 minutes away and the farthest point on the island is reachable in 30 minutes (by car). Taxi cab rides are 25 Euro to Ibiza. I advise you make the car reservation with Europcar way ahead of coming here as the cheap cars are gone quickly especially on the weekend and they WILL try to rip you off at the highest rate possible.

“Family oriented luxury and fun”

An excellent small, quiet and luxurious hotel. The decor is high quality and the rooms are spacious, with either balconies or proper terraces. One room can easily fit a whole family of 4 if needed and the small kitchen in the room is also great for those moments when you don't feel like venturing out to a restaurant. The staff were helpful and responsive. The view onto the pineforest and the seaside from the pool are and the hotel terraces is stunning.

Situated in a secluded area, surrounded by pineforests and right on the seaside, it is excellent for staying with a family. A very nice area with nice sandy beaches all within a walking distance. Within a 15 minute walk along the seaside you will find some 4 beaches of different sizes all with cafes and bars/restaurants, with plenty to do there as all sorts of watersports activities are catered for. If you want to explore the island a bit further or experience the crazier side if Ibiza with its boisterous nightlife it is very easy to rent a car, with the typical driving time being under 40 minutes to any part of the island.

An excellent place to relax and escape the tumultous and noisy urban life.

“Perfect Place to Relax”

At first glance when you arrive you may think it is a little isolated being so far from the town centre, but wait till you look out the back. The sea and a small beach are within stumbling distance. It has a fantastic sea view from the large lawn area where you can sunbathe and relax with little to disturb you. The main town is a 5 minute taxi ride (7 - 8 Euros) where you can have a choice from a wide range of restaurants/bars. The marina area is particularly good. Boats to Ibiza Town are regularish (would`nt waste your time though the town you are in is much better).
Entertainment is laid on every night, from Abba Girls to Lord of the Dance and other watchable acts at the S`Argamassa. Food is varied and the views from the outside patio area are great.
Probably going back next year.

  • Liked — The location relative to the sea
  • Disliked — A little isolated maybe
  • Tips/Secrets — Don`t bother with Ibiza Town, certainly not during the day!

“An oasis of calm”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 June 2006

Stayed at hotel for 10 nights in August 2005.
Our 1st visit to Ibiza and we were very impressed. Ibiza is famous for its 'clubbing' and 'new age' entertainment, but you would never know it from this peaceful resort.

Positives
* Quiet, refined, small hotel. Very friendly staff. Pleasant pool area. Always seemed tranquil.
* Next door to glorious sandy beach (Cala Pada) with watersports and several beach bars. Also handy and efficient water bus/excursion stop
* Easy access to Santa Eulalia - family resort with bit of style and plenty of restaurants
* Ibiza Town has interesting historic town walls and great vibrancy
* Island has pretty scenery and bays

Watchouts
* S'Argamassa isn't really a resort - more an accommodation/beach area between Santa Eulalia and Es Canar. Limited restaurant options within walking distance of hotel
* Local road bus between two resorts never ran on time - hiring a car gave far more flexibility
* 'Hippy market' at Es Canar is cleverly marketed but we felt totally over-sold. A real crush we would have happily missed.
