We stayed here for 5 nights as our friends were getting married in Ostuni and we thought it would be nice to stay a little out of town. We didn't hire a car as we had a few pre-arranged activities involving the wedding and thought we could rely on the shuttle into Ostunia or the beach for the other days. For two nights we were told there was no shuttle (Sunday and Monday) and another couple staying there said there had been no shuttle on the Wednesday either. Taxis are expensive and you pay 30 euros for a return trip to Ostuni. On one occasion the driver that turned up as the taxi was the shuttle driver. The Masseria is in a lovely relaxing setting but it is certainly not a "hotel", as it claims. There is no restaurant here or nearby, only breakfast buffet facilities and there is no bar in the evening to speak of - you just ask for what you want and drink it outside your room in the courtyard as the evening guard is watching the TV in there. Ostuni is a lovely town and we had a wonderful time and enjoyed wonderful food at our friend's wedding, which was at various venues in and around Ostuni. You will need to drive to the beach as although it is only 800 metres you cannot cross the road and need to drive 5 minutes. However, the beaches in and around this area are some of the dirtiest I have ever seen. The private beaches are cleaned up but the public and other areas are really dirty - We saw 3 syringes in amongst heaps of other general rubbish on just one short walk. There was even an old crushed fridge at the beginning of the driveway into the Masseria. This aside we very much enjoyed our stay and I recommend this Masseria to anyone on a driving holiday looking for B and Bs.
