As ive just written about Zenthe I take the chance to also write about this other boutique hotel. Lovely. Probably the best hotel in Ostuni. I come to Puglia quite often and if you want to feel like in a spa (in a sense its a culti spa) come here. Wonderful.

We spend one night in la Sommita. Room nr 4, la mare. With seaview, enough space about 35m2, and minimal interior The weather was cloudy so the view was some less but still good. Also none of spa functions worked. But that were the only negative points. The spatreatment were not the best but good. Everyone was very friendly and helpfull. Normally we don't like and use the hotelrestaurant but the food and service in el cielo was very good. The breakfast was also well cared. During the summer if everything will work and is in function this will be a place we surely can recommend and will visit again if we will come back to puglia

My husband and I spent 5 days at La Sommita and had an absolutely wonderful time. The hotel’s design is very sleek, tastefully combining the old structure with minimalist interior design. The small courtyards provide a charming space to read and relax. Overall it is a very romantic hotel and I highly recommend you have a glass of prosecco on the upper terrace during sunset, which must be the best spot in town to view the sunset. The staff was extremely helpful in recommending restaurants and beaches. Guna Beach (beach club) was our favourite. The hotel is located in the heart of the historic centre, which is great for evening walks, however your car will be parked in a car park (10Euros/day) that is 10min by foot or you can use the hotel’s small shuttle. I recommend you speak to the hotel before you arrive to understand what the best way of arrival is. The room was spacious, had a unique feel being in a tall vault and it was very clean. A small detail we did note was that as we were in one of the lower rooms, which are in a vault that does not have windows, the room felt a bit damp after showering, as the entrance door was the only means of ventilating. Overall we can very highly recommend this hotel.

We spent 5 days in La Sommita and enjoyed every minute. Staff were pleasant, eager to help and very friendly. Decor is lovely and the breakfast garden is a charm.

The hotel was designed with style and attention to detail and it shows.
Do insist on a Sea View room - they are much better than the others. I guess they cost more too.
