We booked it through a travel agency that basically took a guess with this 'hotel' because the location looked good on the map, close to Parikia city, close to the 'beach'. When we arrived at the hotel at 8 pm, we were stunned to realize that there was no one at the hotel desk, and the door was locked. We met a client at the pool that unfortunately spoke only in Greek and turned out to be the brother of the owner. He gesticulated to go to the nearest hotel to contact the owner. The people at the nearest hotel were kind and competent enough to call him (obviously not the first time this happened) and told us that he would be there in 10 minutes. 45 minutes later the owner arrived saying that he was sorry and that he was busy at another hotel. He was mad because we did not call him ourselves, but there was no other phone available anywhere around. He gave us the keys and left 30 seconds later and we never saw him again. Although the website claims that there is available Wi-Fi internet, it turned out to be false, but the owner said it is OK because there was an internet cafe 300 meters away (!?), and the worst of all, there was no telephone in the room. The only entrance of the hotel was kept by an enraged bulldog, so we were scared to death every time we left the room or came back to the hotel, especially since there was nobody around to help if something happened. I would define the neibourhood as 'Greek Redneck Country', with sad and drunk residents all around living close to the dirtiest beaches in Greece. We visited several other hotels in different Greek islands and it was nothing like it. When we checked out the owner was not there so we again had to go bother the nearest hotel to call for a ride to the port. Please burn this place down.

I'm just reiterating how bad this place really is. My wife reviewed below... the worst hotel I've ever stayed at..

They would not pick us up from the port as they had a bigger group to take care of. They made us walk 30-40 minutes with our bags to another hotel that they own and then made us wait for another 30-40 minutes for someone to pick us up to take us to Summer View. When we got there, the lady at the desk had a shouting contest with us and said that she would not apologise as it is not their problem. For the amount we have paid to stay here, that is ridiculous and I would not suggest for anyone to stay here. Apparently there is no reception desk at Summer View either so if something goes wrong, you are on your own.

My advice, choose something else for what you are paying!!!! NEVER again.

I don't think one ever embarks on their honeymoon thinking that something will go so terribly wrong that they would cry, however our brief time at Summer View Apartments caused that exact reaction. Upon our arrival to the hotel, we were greeted with a vacant, locked building. On the door to the reception area was a hand-written note with the owner's phone number saying that if you needed anything to simply give him a call. The problem is, how would one be expected to call the owner when there was no phone available??? After a lengthy period of time waiting in disbelief, I ventured to the nearest open hotel in order to ask to use their phone. More than a half an hour later the owner to Summer View showed up in a whirlwind, unlocked our door, informed us that he owned another hotel and was busy there, and within 5 minutes, was gone again. After he left, we realized that there was no electricity in our room...it was at that point that I cried. Rather than deal with the grim circumstances we ventured out to explore the island....certainly by the time we returned the owner would be back and would have realized the lack of electricity. Didn't happen. Once again I went to a nearby hotel to call him back a second time. This time he provided us with a 'key' for the electricity and claimed we would have hot water in a matter of minutes. Much to my further disappointment, our hot water heater was broken. At that point, we demanded to be moved to his other hotel as he offered no other solution. Never ever stay in this establishment in the off season!!!!!!!!
