“Lovely Hotel - Not a good location”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 July 2011

This Hotel is located right on the edge of Naoussa. Beware of what the website says, as it's a good 20-30mins walk to the centre of the port, and in the heat of the day can be even longer! There is also a very steep hill to access the local beach! Having said that it's a quiet location, with friendly staff. Very clean, and a lovely pool. Beware the shallow end is about 6ft, so maybe not suitable for small children.

Room Tip: You'll soon get tired on the walk in to town!

“Simply beautiful”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 December 2009

We stayed at Margarita's House for about a week in May of 2009, traveling with our two little children (ages 4 and 2). We stayed in an "apartment" unit, which featured an open kitchen/living area with two separate bedrooms and balcony with eating area overlooking the pool courtyard. The apartment, though simple, was very nicely appointed with all marble floors, classic furniture, and good kitchen utensils/plates/pans/etc.

The hotel is located outside the town a bit, a 10 minute walk as others have noted. The walk isn't bad--there is a shortcut that could be a bit treacherous, otherwise taking the road is an easy walk. A supermarket is a few minutes walk, as is a car rental place. I found the location to be very convenient, and also quiet at night.

“Nice Views But Watch Out For The Lawyers”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 October 2008

The apartment we had was very plain and sparsely furnished, and it's a good ten minute walk up and down a steep hill from the centre of town rather than in the centre as advertised. The swimming pool was closed for the winter when we arrived and the place is home to a legion of cats.

Watch out for early check out penalties - when we changed our plans the hotel demanded 50% of the full stay and immediately produced a laminated and well thumbed copy of the local tourism laws in both Greek and English detailing the penally charges - not a good sign as it indicates that leaving early is a rather common occurrence here.

wonderful clean and beautiful place to stay.
a little out of Noussa, maybe a 10 minute walk, but it is nice to be out of the crowds.
Nice rooms, with a small kitchen and fridge and AC.

“Good to be back!”

I stayed here 2 years ago and this repeat visit proved that Margarita's House has not lost its appeal - classic Cycladic architecture, a nice pool, good cafe with a perfect sunset view over the bay, comfortable beds, clean and attractive rooms with balconies or terraces and, above all, the professionalism and friendliness of the owner/managers, all only minutes walk from the buzzing and charming old town of Naoussa. I strongly recommend this hotel to anyone - singles, couples or families - I doubt you'll be disappointed!
