Our apartment in the Ferienpark proved to be roomy and nicely equipped in a location that's very convenient for the cross-country skiing trails in Oberwiesenthal. The complex -- a former East German block of flats that's been modernised -- is not so convenient for the centre of the village, though, being a couple of kilometres away up a hill. The decor and fittings looked reasonably new and beds, sofa and chairs were comfortable. I'd quibble about the lack of net curtains and particularly about the dim lighting; we had to move lamps around to make it comfortable to read.
