First, let me state that my rating is for a mid priced hotel. Second, let me state that arriving on the owner's day off caused me to down grade service a bit. The hike back into town and finding someone to borrow a phone from was annoying. The owners were very nice. The hotel was very quaint and extremely well kept. The area was pretty, and it was my first time to experience rural Germany. The people were quite friendly. The food at this hotel was the best food we had on our entire trip. The owner is a great cook. The Chicken Cordon Blue was very good. It takes a train trip to find a real restaurant other than the one at this hotel though. If you are looking for some relaxation and hiking this is a great stop.
