Another hotel I have traveled to many times, this is near one of the suppliers I work with. I generally walk to this location from the tram line from Koln (about 1.5 km, 15 minutes) or the train station (3 km, 30 minutes). The restaurant is very good and I recommend the mixed grill and the pizzas. Rooms are clean, quiet and average size for Europe. Also it is near a mall which is nice for picking up a few tings for the folks at home or the things you forgot :-) Internet is not free , but there is a computer available for checking email and printing documents.

we had expected ramada to respect its name! big disappointment!

first of all we had booked 2 rooms, of which one for the children. we got the 2 rooms on separate floors. staff was very unfriendly, pretending they could not make the reservation for 2 rooms close to each other (this is ununderstandable!).

for a 4-star hotel I have to say that rooms were very small. internet in the rooms was not for free, in the year 2011 one has to pay 8 (eight) euros per hour.

moreover, smokers could find no place in the hotel (I think they should announce this beforehand), smoking allowed only outside.

the only good thing, appropriate for a 4-star hotel was breakfast: rich, tasty.

we would not come again. in any case it's been far from what we expected from Ramada.

Ramada Hotel, Hurth is part of the famous hotel group world wide. Good hotel with ample parking. However, hotel reception staff is very stiff & hotel rules are very strict.
There is a hefty fine in Euros if room carpet is soiled with water from the bath room attached to your room.
Thank God we stayed only for one day with small children.
The hotel rooms are well equipped with good lighting, bed, TV, dryer. Complimentary breakfast was good. The hotel is good value for our money.
Hotel is may be good for solo or business travelers.

Stayed 2 nights in this hotel with family - room/bathroom is quite small but comfortable enough - everything spotlessy clean (the german way !) - pillows on bed are useless, so flat and soft, no necksupport at all - problem is they don't have any other kind of pillows !!
During the night there's noise from the street in the rooms, can't really sleep with open windows. When we were there there was a rockfestival going on in Hürth, couldn't talk to each other in the room !!
Bar is ok, although a bit liveless. Had dinner at their restaurant and food was good, with good quality wines, friendly & prompt service, reasonable prices (although quite expensive for Germany). Breakfast is excellent , good choice.
Reception team is indeed a bit stiff, they should be more friendly.
Location of the hotel is great, outside the town (but only 15 minutes away by car), but very close to a big shopping center. Waw, what a large choice of good shops & restaurants & snackbars etc.... Liked it very much.
The Ramada has a big open parking, for free. Very convenient ! If you pay extra, you can park in the indoor garage.
Overall experience was good, we can certainly recommend this hotel, but we still prefer the Radisson Köln.
