There were so many reviews for this hotel that maybe our expectations were too high. The main disappointment was the bedroom which, despite being in the more expensive category facing the garden, had no bath. Also, the balconies offer no privacy whatsoever being very close to each other with open wrought iron railings and no partitioning. Room decor is pretty standard hotel four star. Be careful not to book a room looking onto the front entrance carpark. Service is proficient but reserved rather than warm or friendly. The gardens are lovely, the breakfast buffet very good as described by other reviewers., The two pools are big enough for relaxed rather than energetic swimmers. Free fitness and water aerobics swimming was an enjoyable plus.

I went to this hotel for a complete break from work in Berlin. The rooms were very modern and clean. The swimming pool and sauna spa were perfect. The breakfast buffet was excellent though the guests are 99.99% German and could not understand how a plateful of eggs, bacon and sausage followed by lashings of toast, butter and marmalade, the standard English breakfast, could be eaten in the morning. Very few non- Germans in the area, though many people did speak English and were very helpful. About 3 hours by car from Berlin and worth the trip. There is a restaurant at the villa Oasis, Rossini,about 10 minutes on from the hotel away and has excellent food and a wine list that is fantastic.

We were staying here over Christmas and enjoyed the most pleasant sojourn. The staff was most friendly, the service everywhere attentive and personal (except at breakfast). The rooms were spacious, with a comfortable bed and settee. Most rooms have high-speed internet connection, even WLAn. The hotel has a large garden leading to the beach promenade. The swimming pool is indoors and outdoors and well heated. Saunas and other health and beauty treatment fafilities are the finest. Breakfast in the Restaurant is super with a very rich choice of hot and cold dishes. Dining at the Garden Restaurant is mainly for guests at half-pension and offers a rich salad and appetizer buffet, a choice of three main courses (meat or poultry, fish, or vegetarian) served at the table and a rich choice of desserts at the buffet. The Bellevue Restaurant in the rotunda on the top floor offers a choice menu of a very high standard and is available to pension guests at a small surcharge. A very attractive hotel for a vacation on the Baltic seashore.
