My husband & I booked the Hotel du Commerce because of its central location in the Ardennes. It is located in Houffilze which is about 17 miles from Bastogne. Houffilze is a lovely village and the du Commerce is in the center of town. I don't know if I would stay here in July or August because there is no a/c, but in April, that was no problem. We had french doors leading out to a small balcony, so we just opened them at night. Their breakfast is ok, but their restaurant for dinner at night is wonderful. I had trout and enjoyed it so much that I had it a second night.
I would certainly recommed this hotel to my friends.

We stayed for one night at the Hotel du Commerce in Houffalize and it was one of our best nights in Europe! The hotel is beautiful, is situated along the river and the downstairs bar and eating area is large and open for seating both inside and out.

We had a family room which offered us a typical hotel room with nice balcony and a separate room approximately 8 ft x 12 ft with a set of bunkbeds and another balcony, the kids loved it! The hotel offered free internet service in the lobby area we were able to surf the net, check email and send some messages home. The hotel is centrally located and we walked around the town after dinner to see some of the sights.

The breakfast, which was included in the price of the room, was the best breakfast we had during our 2 week trip with hot and cold food, breads, many jams and chocolate, along with meats and fruits. We were able to park in a lot just across a narrow street from the hotel. This little town is quite convenient if you are visiting Bastogne.
