Leg 2 of Grand Tour - Nuremburg to Vienna.
I chose the hotel because it is close to the Budapest Autobahn and because the hotel has an annex with self-contained studio flats. Travelling with a teenager means extra space is welcome.
Booking directly with the hotel was a relatively painless experience even with my basic German.
Arriving mid-late afternoon, the approach to the hotel is dominated by a petrochemical works apparently owned by the Austrian state Oil company. On the basis this was only an over-night stop I hadn't checked into the locale.
Studio flats are located a short walk away from the main hotel - clean, functional and spacious with cooking facilities.
We ate in the hotel - food was perfectly acceptable but with no air-conditioning the 95 degree heat made dining a less than comfortable experience.
In summary aside from the lack of air-conditioning there is nothing really adverse to say about the hotel itself but I just can't get over the approach from Junction 14 of the S1 via Danubiastraße - I appreciate the proximity of the Airport but not somewhere I would contemplate staying again I am afraid.
