Myself and my 2 teenage sons had a lovely stay at this very clean, friendly and welcoming hotel. It was the first place in our tour round Europe that offered complimentary tea and coffee which was a delight, we especially liked the facilities which included a pool table, quiet reading areas and free use of games and cards etc. This meant we had alternative things to do in the evenings, rather than have to sit in our room watching TV. All in all an excellent stay in a very beautiful location. The hotel is also within easy walking distance of the train station, sadly all our trains in Austria were late though.

First of all, I must say that Mr Brenton (took his name from another review) made a very nice reception, and proved to be available in anything he could help. Always very serviceable, did also a good job for Austrian tourism and people.
The room was standard in equipment / decoration but very spacious. Very quiet, in a quiet and excelent location (near to Hallstatt - a couple of minutes by car - and the main attractions). Three restaurants on a foot distance. Breakfast is basic but OK. There is also free tea and coffee on each floor and a pool table :)
