For almost 20 summers I spent 2 weeks with my family in Hoteldorf Königsleitn and from year to year it´s sad to see that the Hoteldorf is sold to the Dutch and some private interests. Thus, the service became decreased - the restaurant closes too early in the evening, no chance for some drinks before bedtime.
Once I tried breakfast - it was delicious! Lot of various things to decide along with the local farmer´s yoghurt (worth a try!).
When it comes to the appartements - I advise everybody to control each thing because everytime I detected a missed glass, mug or broken light bulbs, torn fly nets at the windows and always a broken heater. Everytime I have to inform the reception about it and I am wondering that the lazy and blind cleaning staff from cheap Czech Republic is not telling anything about a broken light bulb in the bathroom! Are they vampires so they can see perfectly in the dark? Strange!
This Hoteldorf is only recommendable for families than for singles or couples. The scream and the running of children can getting on the nerves if you are sitting on the terrace and your neighbours are walking or running beside you while you are trying to get a relaxed vacation.
The environment is beautiful - like a advertisement for totally relaxed summer vacations if the weather plays with! Staying there for 2 weeks during weather conditions like Scotland or the Orkney Islands I would prefer the Scots!
But for families - a must and a great place for kids to run wild like Pippi Langstrumpf!
The prices are somewhat not worth! Couches which have holes from fumes, worn-out carpets, wooden floors with spike-holes from golf shoes and always a broken bulb when arriving is not worth a price which is like a five-star hotel in Dubai!
