“An excellent hotel in a good location with good facilities”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 February 2011

We stayed in the hotel for 4 days and were delighted with our choice. We were skiing and snowboarding. The hotel is exactly what we expected from viewing the hotel website. Our welcome was excellent and we were taken around the hotel by Marie Astrid and shown all the facilities including the pool and wellness area. The rooms are comfortable and decorated in traditional Austrian style (not modern but not worn). The food in the Hotel was excellent and most of all the service was superb. Sheila and her partner looked after us very well every night in the restaurant and Claudio looked after us in the Bar. Smoking is still allowed in bars in Austria so the small bar has a smoking and non smoking area. The pool was spotless and the wellness area was fantastic. Massages can be booked and there is a large sauna and steam room. The location for the local ski lifts is very good as the bus stops for the free buses are outside the door and go to both sides of the village. There are also buses to bigger ski resorts nearby such as Kitzbuhl. The hotel has a Spar supermarket about 800 yards away and a 24 hour garage with a small convenience store about 200 yards awaw. The nearest bar is about an 8 minute walk into the village. The nearest ATM is about 10 minutes walk. Overall, we were very satisfied with everything.

A very friendly family hotel in a good position for wintersports and summer activities. The atmosphere, the staff, the rooms and the food are all extremely good. Nothing bad to say.

“we went back for the 6th time”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 February 2010

We appreciate a lot the cosy ambiance of the hotel in a more or less luxury environment. The hotel is not too big. The pool, steambaths and sauna are a very nice add-on, once again without being overcrowded. It is very kids friendly.

“Not a 4*!!!!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 January 2009

This is NOT a 4* hotel. We stayed for 7 nights during the New Year holiday. The hotel is simply a traditional lodge, and seeing what's available in the area it definitely is NOT a bargain. Good breakfast, awful dinner - tasteless, no traditional menu, no a la carte option. Even though we had pre-paid for dinner - we ate out 1/2 of the times. Another problem: NO room service, no mini fridge in the room, not even a bottle of water! If you needed water: 4.5 euros/bottle! These are problems when you have young kids- how to prepare the baby's milk, how to keep snacks - we kept them on the balcony! The staff was friendly but distant. We opened 8 Moet champagnes on New Year night, and had a bill of drinks of 20-30 euros/night and not one drink "on the house"! To top it all off, the got a very nasty call at 11:10 am to empty the room immediately because we should have done so 10 minutes before! Unbelievable. We will never stay there again.

“Great value!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 August 2007

Stayed at this hotel for seven nights in July 2007. Very good service with excellent breakfast and evening meal. Room was a little on the small size for a 4*, but considering the price, it was OK. The only downside is that car parking is limited, with little or no alternatives if all the spaces are taken. Great base for sightseeing, staff very friendly and helpful. Would recommend.

  • Liked — Food and service.
  • Disliked — Limited car parking.
