We rented the larger apartment (sleeps 7) at the hotel and were very pleased with everything about Hotel Traube. The apartment was very spacious - especially by European standards. The kitchen was well-stocked for cooking, and there is a grocery store within walking distance (about 1/2 mile). But there are plenty of wonderful cafes and restaurants to keep you from cooking at home. The hotel-provided breakfast is very substantial with juice and eggs to compliment the Continental buffet. The service is very friendly, helpful and eager to please everybody. The sauna was a welcome comfort after a ski day. The ski bus picks you up just 1/4 mile down the road so there is no need to drive anywhere. Yes, the parking lot is a little small, but all the guests seemed to work together to provide easy access in and out. There is free WIFI in the hotel as well. The town of Kirchberg is lovely and there is plenty of skiing available provided there is snow! In short, the hotel is conveniently located to everything -shops, cafes, and activities. I would easily recommend Hotel Traube run by the very capable and friendly Frau Pendl. Her English is superb and she is always willing to help.
