“A Sheraton combined with local flavor”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 January 2012

Staying in this Hotel means to have the Sheraton feeling, but with a typical alpine Austrian touch influenced slightly by the Bajuvarians (Beer!). The location is close to Salzburg (20 minutes by car), but also close to the mountains and the Fuschl lake, a beautiful area!
The Hotel facilities are very good, starting from the big, clean rooms, in part with balconies and all amenities you will expect from a 4* plus Hotel including indoor swimming pool, spa, gym etc.
The people are extremely friendly and helpful. We enjoyed it very much and would like to come back. One little secret for Afumiciados: Despite strict smoking-prohibition rules especially in the neighbouring countries there is enough closed space, separated from the other 99% non-smoking area, where you can enjoy your cigarette or better your cigar. Maybe it will develop to a Cigar Lounge with excellent spirits, which will not desturb any other non-smoking room in the Hotel. resaurants are very good.

Room Tip: Junior Suite consisted of two big rooms, separate WC.

“Good quality/price ration compared with Schlossfushl!”

We have been staying in Sheraton Fuschlsee-Salzburg Hotel Jagdhof for 3 times and believe it is a very nice hotel with excellent surroundings in summer and winter, as well. The only thing that is not perfect was that during our first stay there, I asked for a late check-out at 4pm when check-in and got a positive response. However, I was asked to pay 20 EUR for "2 hours' extension fee". As a SPG member at that time and now platinum member, it slightly hurt my loyalty to Starwood. It might be much more considerate if the receptionist handled it in another manner! However, we still love Sheraton Fuschlsee-Salzburg Hotel Jagdhof and will go back again!

“Beautiful location and facility”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 September 2011

We stayed just one night but greatly enjoyed the hotel. Height restrictions mean that the hotel looks more like a large Gasthof (guesthouse) instead of a generic Sheraton in some city. Grounds are beautiful. We spotted a hiking trail from our window and my 5-year old daughter and I followed it into the forest towards the nearby castle, lots of fun for the two of us. Beds were excellent. Used Starwood points (2800) + $45 cash and found this to be an excellent deal. Would love to return.

“If you do not want to be Von Trapped”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 September 2011

Excellent hotel in the mountains outside Salzburg, The staff were all very friendly. My room was large and well equiped. However it was unfortunate that the windows were all above head height, giving the impression that the architect had been inspired by a recent spell in prison.
Meal in the Austrian style restaurant was good, if a little expensive. The other, Italian, restaurant was not open. Breakfast was also good.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view - of anything!

“Good place to relax and visit Salzburg”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 July 2011

Nice modern hotel with good facilities including pool, sauna and steam room. Excellent room (junior suite) with view over the valley and edge of lake. Access to lake is very limited - the nearby village is a tourist hotspot and parking and beach access is by payment - not good if you only want to sit and watch the sunset!

Staff very good at reception and in restaurant. Food was also good in the restaurant (BBQ buffet) and breakfast was very good on the terrace in the sun.

No wifi in the rooms but wired internet available. Wifi in the lobby.
