“You'll do well to beat this Carinthian teasure.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 August 2011

This was our 13th visit to the Die Post. From the moment you cross the bridge into reception your holiday begins and nothing but nothing is too much trouble for all the professional and friendly staff.
THe rooms are excellent in decor and cleanliness. The food is exellent too from dawn til dusk.
If you can get better service 'anywhere' I'd like to find it and try it! Until then roll on my 14th visit.

Room Tip: Sun room/suits are amazing.

“A perfect getaway”

There aren’t enough words to describe a perfect weekend thank to this hotel’s hospitality. We booked at the last minute and received a good deal with the kindest and prompt answer. We were welcomed at the reception with a glass of wine, a smile and all the information we needed. A large, nice and quiet room, spotless. Delicious dinners and a sumptuous breakfast buffet with everything one could think of. The hotel also provides a free lunch buffet near the pool and strudel in the afternoon. Pools and wellness area well furnished, spotless and very comfortable. We enjoyed efficient and kind spa services and our son took tennis lessons with a nice teacher who even spoke Italian. I can’t wait to go back to this hotel.

“Another fantastic holiday at this superb hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 June 2011

My wife and I have now stayed at this family-run hotel some ten times. We first stayed here is apart of a package holiday, but have since returned independently.
The hotel is in a superb location, with all rooms having south facing views, overlooking fields, trees, the tennis courts and swimming pool / sauna park. Ours had a small balcony with table and chair, previously the room had a larger balcony but part was converted to offer a bay window, offering better views up and down the valley.
The hotel offers full board, though this includes a light lunch, which we rarely eat as the sumptuous breakfast and large dinner, together with afternoon apple strudel is more than enough, though we occasionally eat a snack at a mountain restaurant.
Our room was very spacious, with Austrian twin beds, a sofa, chair and table, fridge, safe, flat screen tv and free wi-fi. There is plenty of cupboard and draw space and a rack for dirty boots. A towelling robe and slippers are provided for each guest. The bathroom had a shower (some with bath), bidet, double sink and toilet.
The hotel has extensive leisure facilities including large indoor and outdoor pools, which are very warm, a solarium, a gym and an indoor sauna park / spa. I didn't try any of the many spa treatments but we did use the sauna park which has a large sort of hot tub with massage jets, two saunas, a salt-water pool with underwater music, a steam room and an infra-red room. The showers are hot and powerful, so much so that we rarely used the one in our bathroom. The spa has a large relaxation area, with complimentary hot and cold drinks and apples.
The hotel organises various walks and cycle rides with their guide, Jurgen, a charming guy. Each trip includes a break at a local restaurant.
This is the best hotel I have ever stayed at and the family are always on hand to speak with guests and ensure that the wheels are well-oiled.

“An ideal place to escape the hectic city life and enjoy the beauties of the mountain.”

The hotel is one of the few that really tries to meet all the needs of the guests. The food is more than excellent and there were various kinds of events in the evenings. The staff is friendly and always helpful. In addition to skiing, one can also spend the day walking in the mountain along the tracks both near the village or in the mountain. The views from the mountain slopes are splendid. The hotel spa is ideal for a rest after the mountain walks or after skiing.
The only thing that was not to my full pleasure was he fact that I had to ask for a new password every hour. I was not very convenient especially for teenagers who sometimes spend couple of hours chatting on the FB. However, the Internet service is free and that was another positive aspect of the hotel.
